'20 TN DE Jay Hardy (Auburn commit)

What's to stop a player from taking the bag of money and then go elsewhere? I mean, there's literally nothing Auburn could do about it. One reason amongst many that the bagman theory makes no sense.

Have said all along that we need him and can't afford to blow him off.
But I have zero respect for him personally, after the "TN is the only school that tried to pay me" comment.

What would have been a "boom" from me would be relegated to "maybe he'll actually keep his word..this time".

Can't speak for others but promise there will be no backpedaling on my part.
Wasnt that comment a fake? It was a private message and could easily have been shopped, no.

Auburn will likely finish no better than us. This is sort of the norm for them while we seem to have an upward trajectory. When he committed, things looked different than they do today. Only a few weeks ago, perception was a lot different. I suspect it will change again in a couple more weeks. Anxious to see how this turns out. Lots of dynamics in play here.

Release the video of him buck naked at the cabin 🤷🏻‍♂️

It walks like a duck and talks like a duck. There's no more proof for photoshopping or pressure from a relative than there is for anything else.
His friends were shocked, the VQ guys had the video and article. Those finding "what ifs" to defend him, have no more to go on than the other side.

Everyone gonna believe what they feel happened regardless. Personally, I've watched too many odd or out of nowhere flips with Auburn.

Yeah take out all the clutter... It boils down to this.

And there is one common trend… They always seem to be defensive linemen. Garner is as dirty as they come.

If Auburn goes down to Bama, they might just pull the trigger on Muschamp. If that happens, Hardy might have second thoughts, but he might just really like that school. Kid needs to go where his heart is. No sense on going someplace you don't think you'll be happy at. When you do that, the first time things go south for you, the first thought is about the school "you really wanted to go to in the first place". Personally, I think he's made his choice and should stick with it.

When did he make the comment about Tennessee paying him?

Some private message off of a social media account.
Some are saying it's fake but the only reason I've read is because you can fake things.

But Idc, pick one. Mislead coaches or mislead friends or mislead VQ or told our other target to follow him to Auburn or the fake or not fake message.

I still want him here over Auburn but never gonna pretend to like the way he's handled it or make silly excuses for him.

This is so well stated. We need him. If he puts a dagger in the heart of Auburn's recruiting our recruits at the last minute, we will be excited. But that doesn't mean he will automatically be JJ after the way he handled the situation.
