It’s really amazing when you stop and think about it. Most people left this team for dead after are 1-4 start. Media included, especially finebaums punk arse. Yet here we are, and not only are we here but we’re playing are best ball late in November. When was the last time we saw that happen? 1-4 to 8-5 sounds pretty good right about now, but 5-3 in the SEC is the biggest improvement to me.
Pruitt off the Coaching Hot Seat list now?

Saw the 1st uncalled targeting was was widely discussed in the game thread but there was a second.

When we win, nobody cares but if we don't get something done about the inconsistency, it's gonna cost us more games in the future.
Call them on every team equally or don't call them.

Wow. So Tim only fumbled because he got his bell rung

You have to believe that would be called if it were us against one of the better teams in the conference.
Absolutely and it has been. They even go back to review uncalled targeting... see bama. refs have screwed tn on targeting calls for a long time. They should have reviewed more than a couple hits last night.

We've been called for much less, multiple times.
Call 'em or "let 'em play", don't care which, but **** needs to be consistent.

That's exactly the kind of concussion inducing hit they're supposedly focusing on. Refs didn't call, replay guy skipped right past.

I am curious about what RF guys think about JG coming back for another season.

Part of me says it would be good so they can give HB a season to mature.

The other part of me says it is time to hand over the job to the golden child.

I know it doesn't matter what I think. JG and the staff will decide that. However, is JG earning the trust back of Vol nation because he has made some really bonehead decisions and bad plays in critical moments through the years. Has he turned the corner enough to trust him with next season?
At this point, he’s earned my respect and trust. I still get a little worried when we get in the red zone, but he has been making good decisions lately. You can tell it means so much to him. He doesn’t show a lot of emotion on the field, like we would like him to, but it is evident that this means a lot to him. What a great story it would be for him to come back and lead us to 10+ wins.

7 wins is what I wanted at the beginning of the season, and it’s most likely going to happen. I’m completely satisfied with a 2 win progression in year 2 with wins against Mizzou, USC, UK, MSU, and Vandy. Pruitt is right on track. We really need recruiting to pickup to take that next step
For sure. Took a bumpy road to it but I don’t think anyone can have any serious qualms going forward.

One more before I head off to church. I know we all want a strong run game. This O and roster is not ready for that yet. Chaney knows this. He is riding with his strength at receiver on O and using the run game to counter punch to keep the D's honest. The O-line development has focused on pass-pro. They are using the TE/HB/RB to help on blitzes and they are doing a good job for the most part. The Bama game proved that this was the correct approach. The run game will expand next season, however, the staff needs to recruit a couple of studs at RB for it to get where we all want it. We've got a stable of specialty backs now.

We know the O will be schemed for a line of pass-pro and running game maulers going forward by the current roster and commitments. That tells me to expect what we saw Chaney do at UGA in the pass game to go with what CJP saw to do with the power run game at Bama. I am good with all of that and will patiently wait for it to happen as the roster gets built.

The upside for this program is unlimited.

Just rewatched that, saw it last night, but was hammered. Anyone else think Cole Cubelic kinda pissed Pruitt off?! He didn’t look overly pleased.
I watched that and thought it was a little awkward but as Pruitt ran off he was smiling and I think they patted each other in the back. I don't think there was anything there.
