The Impeachment Thread

Based on her hesitance to even open an impeachment inquiry during the whole Mueller investigation, there’s no way she does this time if she knows the end game isn’t to impeach Trump.

Why not? What does she have to lose? She promised she wouldn't run for speaker again, and any trial in the Senate would be an utter disaster for the the Dems.

The same way I feel anytime a President enlists a private citizen with no oversight. It always looks shady, but they all do it.
Every single person that testified that had worked under multiple administration said they had never experienced anything even remotely like the way Trump used Giuliani.
Quit normalizing this sh!t.

As long as I made my point, I don't mind getting a little dirty.
You know what they say about wrestling with pigs in the mud.

No, not really. And keep your fetishes to yourself. Haven't you said enough today about things you like.

It's political. That is why they said what they said. They do not like the man. They love Obummer.

Only way she holds a vote is if she knows it won't pass. And I don't even think she does that.
If you truly believe this is her plan, I don’t know what to tell you. I’ll admit I was wrong if it plays out like you said, but I don’t think there is any chance she launches this inquiry if she didn’t know with certainty that they were going to impeach him in the end. Anything less would be de facto vindication from the democrats. Zero chance they were, or are, going to give that to him.

that's a load of crap. the only reason this is an issue is the Dems grasping at straws. every president does it. Every politician does it. The only reason we know about it is Gules has a big mouth, and Trump didn't vet anyone, so half his employees are Dem spies.

So from that you got I think Trump is an idiot? So that must mean either Bill or Loretta is an idiot or both.

That's a start.
You said you viewed them similarly. I assumed you viewed the Bill and Loretta meeting as wrong, stupid, and unethical.
I never said I viewed them similarly.

What exactly are you referring to? Give some quotes. All we heard were opinions from never Trumpers.
Wow, Trump hired a lot of never Trumpers. Maybe he’s just stupid?

Which people that testified do you think were never trumpers? You’re making the assertion, so let’s see what you’re basing it on.

That doesn't make any sense. Trump will be impeached. That testimony went better than could have been imagined. The Hill testimony was especially compelling.

Didn't he run as a R? Obama as a D (democrat in this example)? Kinda the norm in a two party system.
Once you are elected you should represent the American people, imo.

Wouldn't you prefer something more like the Clinton Presidency? He worked with both parties on several issues.

It would be less of a disaster for the dems. than the house hearings were for the repubs.

Some were there before and when you have to hire thousands and depend on recommendations from Washington Insiders who are out to get you, it will happen. He is fighting a lot of bad swamp creature bureaucrats.

I placed no judgement on that example or your question about Giuliani. That was your doing. That's what happens when you assume to presume. For all you know, I could have easily thought they both were a brilliant political maneuver aimed at achieving their goals but then again . . . was anyone naked?

That's a bs cop out and I would assume you know that. These were professionals who had worked under multiple administrations.
That post was nothing short of a delusion. One of them literally donated a million dollars to Trump and was perfectly willing to lie for Trump until Bill Taylor took that option off the table.

It's childish and stupid. Especially in Sondland's case. The guy donated $1 million to Trump's campaign. That is how he got his ambassadorship. But he is a Never Trumper? Yeah, okay.
