The Atlanta Braves

It's terrible. It's by itself out across a highway from the ass end of campus. It's 2/3 the size of a regular stadium and even then attendance sucks. It's open on one end so it's usually windy and (by November) freezing cold. It turns out to be a great home field advantage vs SEC teams not by being intimidating, but by being a depressing and physically miserable experience. Meanwhile the cowfsckers up there don't even notice because that's all they know. I hate that place. I would feel completely different about the game if we were playing them during the day.
I'm going to the game. There any good restaurants or bars there? There's gotta be at least one neat place in that town, right?

I lived there more or less Z's entire lifetime ago and was mostly too poor to eat out, so I can't suggest much. Shakespeare's Pizza is the iconic Mizzou pizza/bar/hangout joint and I'm pretty sure it's still there. There was a little bar area downtown which I'm sure is still there; at the time it was nothing but the same kind of dive-y student bars but given that craft beer exists now there's got to be something fancy.

There's nothing wrong with Columbia itself, which is a full-on quaint little college town in the sense that there's almost literally nothing in town other than the university. When school was on a break it was a ghost town. The only problem is that it's full of Missourians, who suck ass.

That's good to know - we're coming into town Friday night and the game isn't until 7:30 ET on Saturday, so we'll need stuff to do that night and pretty much all day Saturday before the game.

I've never been to a game there, but I haven't been expecting much from the stadium itself just from how it looks on TV. It looks like a big high school stadium with really ugly oversized, too-spaced-out yardage marker numbers on it and that big open area behind one of the end zones. That open area in the back with the rock M reminds me of the area at Finley Stadium (I live in Chattanooga) where UTC plays. It seems of out of place at a P5/SEC school.

Make sure you go to a grocery store (like Schnuck’s). Best thing about the state of Missouri is they sell liquor right in the groceries. I was amazed all over again every single time I went shopping.

Maybe the locals will have mellowed after a few years in the SEC but when I was up there the contempt they had for the south in general and Tennessee in particular was ridiculous. I was asked more than once if I’d grown up going to a one room schoolhouse. If I wore shoes as a kid. Etc. They don’t belong in our conference.

Duvall and RAJ are good though with the glove that you can platoon ender and Duvall and use markakis to give guys a blow throughout the year and LH PH

would like the move but still need a C and means Camargo likely at 3b which I’m also ok with

If there’s no money spent at 3B then they have to get Grandal at C, right?

Ha you know Markadick is playing 150 as long as he is healthy

Acuna
Ozzie
Freddie
Ozuna
Grandal
Camargo
Ender/Duvall
Dansby

That’s pretty strong
Idk about lineup construction but I’m with you on the pieces. Ozuna won’t be cheap so I’m afraid it would preclude us from the Grandal market but both would be a play for sure.
