Listening to the VR2 guys' podcast this morning and they alluded to the UT coaching staff not really visiting a lot of the instate prospects this year as a byproduct of some of the early season problems. With Jay Hardy, they ultimately said they believe that while Hardy likes UT, it got to a point where he didn't 'feel the love' from the staff as Auburn really pursued him since August. They also said, they believe that the door isn't entirely closed with Hardy and if he does wait until February to sign that UT could flip him. TIFWIW.

I have heard that our staff out of necessity after losing to GaState and BYU turned all of it’s attention to salvaging the season to the neglect of recruiting. It is understandable. You lose the team and recruits will leave anyways.
