I'm in a position of authority. Completely, different situation. However, I have hugged a student before. He'd struggled in my class the semester prior because of health issues and I gave him an incomplete so he could take it over. He saw me in the elevator a year later and was so excited to tell me that he was doing better and that he'd passed. I gave him a giant hug.

There's another difference here as well. Although, I often refer to them as kids, college kids are 18+. It's a completely different environment than high school. They can still be immature but they're adults.

Oh good Lord. It's weird as hell but not sexual harassment to get an obviously platonic peck on the cheek, imo. If she's grabbing their ass or junk that's harassment. If a player has said 'no, thanks' and she does it anyway that's harrassment. Otherwise this is an older woman playing 'team mom' despite how some of the still shots make it look. Did this dude write about Herman kissing his players?

That said, let Florida sweat it.

I think Dooley was a knee jerk reaction to losing Kiffin bc of a limited buy out. Dooley made some serious noise in the football circles his first year here. His first recruiting class, basically winning at LSU and making a bowl after the Kiffin thing was a fantastic coaching job.

Yeah I still say Dooley could have had decent success here had Wilcox stayed or had he hired Kevin Steele. Dooley is a better pure football coach than Jones.

Agree. I've read the lip thing but haven't seen it. I watched part of the video and all of them looked like pecks on the cheek. I didn't watch the whole thing because it was just a Florida promo thing. But a peck on the cheek is a non-issue to me. It's a common greeting in a lot of places. If someone is uncomfortable with it then she needs to stop and if she doesn't then it becomes harassment.

I don't disagree that it's weird. I just don't think it reaches the level of harassment unless there have been objections and she persists. I think the Herman thing is weird too but I haven't heard anyone call that harassment.

I lol'd. And look, I don't like Florida so I don't like defending her. I just think this is more tempest in a teapot than anything else. She's not exactly attractive and what I've seen looks very momlike without any MILF at all and with no cougar that I see on her part either. That's crass but I don't know how else to say it.

A Hank take that I actually agree with though...it's not a handout. You shouldn't blame the coach for signing it. Blame the school for offering it and then firing him. It takes 2 to tango.

Just playing devil's advocate, but these coaches go through a lot of crap whether they win or lose. It doesn't matter how much you make, a father doesn't want his kids or family having to go through certain ordeals, especially when you get fired in a very public way.

Reasonable argument but I just think he's milking us for every nickel because he thinks he should still have a job here.

For the record, it is a Title IX violation on any campus. But I don't want to argue or explain that here. The person can argue after the fact that it made them uncomfortable.

Getting to 6-6 was a big accomplishment after the way Kiffin left. the amount of instant impact recruits Dooley scrambled to get was also super impressive. You have to apply context to seasons.

Ga State and BYU were a long time ago. Not sure if you've noticed but we're playing much better lately. We'd beat both of those teams easily if we played them again.

And you're right the defense is why we're winning. Good. Let them make turnovers, give good field position, score a TD or two and kick a few FG's. Win.

Rewatching the UAB game for like the 3rd or 4th time and it is just as Brutal to watch as it was live.....

If someone says it makes them feel uncomfortable and she persists it's harassment. Your intention doesn't matter so much as how the person on the receiving end feels about it. Really, the person on the recieving end doesn't even have to tell you anything for it to be so.
