I mean...Butch does have a job.

I think our bitter fan-base wants to paint him as being the party not willing to take the bigger gig...when it really might not be the case. He's obviously taken a hit though, with how things blew up here, so he's likely not a candidate at the top of many list.

I'm sure Maryland buzz was a friend trying to help a friend out. And it's odd that it would be made public he "withdrew his name" for the Rutgers job, I'll be honest I can't remember any candidate ever doing that before...usually it's just a denying it or not commenting.
Its his way of trying to stay relevant while he bleeds the buyout dry.

Try to hire or keep a coach without sweeteners.
It is one of the only professions you can completely suck at, and drive your employers into the ground and still get paid millions..smh. It is stupid because most coaches suck at their job if you think about it. Very few 66% win rates when you look at all of CFB.

Dude, my high school football coach showed up at my dad's funeral 26 years after I graduated. I said Potter is not to blame per se BUT as a coach, he is teaching life lessons and one of those would be how to handle your recruitment and not lie to coaches. You telling someone to grow up shows you need to do so. Stick to the facts. Coaches are mentors and Coach Potter feels the same way and is not happy with how Hardy handle things. He's a kid but we are trying to teach kids how to become men. If you don't think our staff will be cautious with kids at McCallie in the future, you are out of your ever loving mind. The kid handled this as bad as a kid could and it is a reflection on him. It's not that he choose Auburn. It is how he handled the situation in choosing Auburn. I know kids who are good friends with Jay. He's a good kid who made a few mistakes. His coach has told him so but it will affect the trust between this staff and kids who play at McCallie in the future. Don't know what in the hell my post had to do with bus driver's and lunch ladies. They don't influence football players like the head coach of the football teams do. Unless the lunch lady is in her 20's and is hot as heck.

None of that matters tho. If anything it’s the other way around. The staff has to kiss that coaches ass regardless Bc they want him to let them in with their players when they have one good enough to recruit. That’s just how recruiting works. You don’t want the coaches to shut you out like they did some of our past assistants

Smartest ā€œmade up sourceā€ I’ve ever heard about. He should ā€œguessā€ some lottery numbers next based on his track record.
Prolly help his financials. Good news is seasonal jobs are available

It's called self worth brother. I know what you mean. Try to concentrate on the good things brother while you have them.
I give thanks to God everyday for my health and the ability to provide food on the table. Some people don't have health like I do. Especially at my age. Try to stay focused on the good things you have been given. Keep pressing and I'm sure things will work out for you.

The feeling of gratitude actually releases feel-good chemicals in the brain

If they choose to run, I welcome that.By the way Miss.St says Hello! šŸ‘‹šŸ½ Our Run defense is better than our pass defense.Stoops Last year had better everything just about and we still beat them because his only gameplan was trying running it down our throats.i am more worried about our OL and QB play honestly.

I mostly agree, but we did get three picks last weekend and Kentucky does not have a QB. I think we just sell out against the run, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if one of Kentucky's 8-12 passes get picked.

Definitely not feeling good heading into Saturday after that presser. Pruitt even said he didn't like the spot (yuck). The QB's and the Oline situations worry the heck out me. KY has their QB settled and the guy is red hot running the ball. I listened to some mediaheads/bookmakers claiming they think KY is tougher and more physical than us and Stoops needs this win big time if he's going to remain in the FSU conversation. So situationally speaking--this is not setting up well for our Vols. The coaches have to know this is a must win and push these kids to focus and steal this game. Fingers crossed--GBO!
Those the same mediaheads that favored MSU, SC, and said UAB had us on upset alert?

I’m not sure if I believe this entirely,Shrout had a great game against SC.Im not sure why a couple of bad plays defines who a player is if he doesn’t allow him more than two drives.im slightly confused by how Pruitt is handling the QB situation.makes you wonder what bailey May think seeing how Pruitt is handling this QB situation.Very questionable in my opinion.

Swain tidbits this morning:

Saying this morning that there is no way that Maurer was physically cleared to play vs UAB but then didn’t play.
Says he said that to protect Maurer and confuse the competition.
Says if he was healthy he would play ahead of someone with a cast on his hand.
Also said that CJP has no faith in Shrout.

Haney article rings true more and more every day. I hated it at the time, and it was a bad idea to publish it while Butch was still coaching, but I can't say any of it was wrong. He's a deeply insecure guy and it showed in the way he coached the team once he started to achieve success and had to deal with increased expectations.

He seemed perfectly content with Tennessee going 8-4 and getting one decent win + a lower-tier bowl win every year and was shocked that the fans didn't appreciate that after year 4.
When that article came out I had a feeling a lot of it was dead on. Jones wanted to lower the expectations around here because he knew he couldn't get us to that level.

It was UAB.i wouldn’t base our pass defense solely on that game.

Lol at thinking Bailey has a problem with how Pruitt handles decisions, QB or otherwise. You do know he committed to UT when we didn’t even have an OC, right?

Some of y’all act like Pruitt is playing musical chairs at QB by choice. If JG didn’t force his hand, we would’ve had 1 starter all year. Pruitt is just trying to figure out how to win each game.
