Reminds me of Rock 103 in Memphis when I was a youngn’. Friday evenings they would play that, Sex & Drugs & Rock-n-Roll and Rainy Day Women #12 & #35.
In the mid 70s, Knoxville gotta a new rock station - WIMZ iirc. They played "They're Comming to Take Me Away" for thier first 72 hours straight. I miss all night DJ's.

In the 80s we road tripped to Union City with some friends from there to party up at Martin. A radio station was transitioning - used that word to trigger people - and they played In the Air Tonight nonstop for days.

Wolf man Jack.
Late when I posted, but he was great with his gravely voice. Don’t remember, he was down south of Tennessee. Louisiana or Texas?

I was a junior in high school. Journey and Loverboy. Took Lisa in my 73 Firebird. Drank Grape Malt Duck on the way. Went skinny dipping afterwards. And the first time I ever went "down town". I'll always remember that night.
