The Atlanta Braves - Hello darkness my old friend

That’s because he was not out of the lane. There’s no explaining that call.
Is he left of the foul line or right of the foul line? I think it was a terrible time to make the call, but it's pretty obvious what Holbrook is seeing. 5D66ACEA-F88C-4967-91F8-83BCA9FE17F4.jpeg

He is straight on the base (I would argue the whole way) the last fifteen feet.
... Which I think ought to be the rule and I think it's generally the way they call it. But by rule, he's not where he's supposed to be... which gave a doofus like Holbrook another chance to over-officiate.

He is literally standing on the base when the 1b makes contact with him. He had no other choice.

Baseball is a funny game. Astros get him tonight. No way he is 100 percent
Greinke allowed 10 base runners in 4 IP

Astros may “get him” but Nats are in as good a spot as they could have possibly hoped for IYAM

You could see it on Rendon’s face when he was asked the question about G7. They’re full of confidence and they get to swing it first. Pressure is on Houston.

Already have a few thoughts of my own, but accepting suggestions on gameday sign

I'd go with something about Memphis State being afraid of our Big Orange Balled Fists
