Yep no way a one loss SEC team is out of playoff.
especially one that's been in the top 2 most of the year, or at least the 2nd half of the year.....

Clemson is probably in barring some epic upset.
Ohio State is in assuming they win the Big 10 and all indictions are that htey should

so who's competing for the last two spots?
OU
UF
UGA
Bama
LSU

Bama/LSU is one for sure i think.

UF/UGA would need to win out imo

OU still has a shot, but is probably rooting for some upset in the SEC. otherwise, the loser of the LSU/Bama is sitting there w/1 loss just like OU, and who's loss is worse?

i think there's still a good chance LSU and Bama get in the play off if one winds up undefeated and #1, and the other 1 is 1 L and probably #4. with OSU 2 and Clemson 3.

That’s good chit, Class act on O’s part, that’s why he gets top recruits, players everywhere respect him and his love for the game. It’s contagious really
Coach O is easy to make fun of, but he’s got himself a hell of a team this year. I hope they beat the brakes off Bammer

I wouldn’t of figured Pruitt as a toes in the sand Kenny Chesney fan. I would guessed Cash or the Hag.
I think he picked a TN boy on purpose.

Also Kirby saying Luke Bryan.... LOL

Ed O is in point with CCR.
You know Pruitt wanted to say Skynyrd but some assistant changed it for him lol

Mike Leach liking Neil Young seems so right.
I call BS on Moorhead liking Biggy that much

Penn State or Ohio State seem to have the best shot in the Big 10....but Minnesota is still undefeated, and if they manage to win out they'll make things interesting. Ideally Ohio State & Minnesota win out and the Big 10 ends up with 2 undefeated teams playing for conference title, then they can make a case to get 2 teams in.

Clemson is your closest "lock" to stay undefeated. Wake Forest is their stiffest remaining competition, and it's a home game.

OU losing to Kansas State has put a wrench in their making it I think. Baylor is also undefeated...so who knows how good they are they get OU at home though. SEC should end up with at least 1 team as a 1 loss once the dust settles, potential winner of LSU/BAMA can remain undefeated too. If Florida beats Georgia they are basically locked in for the East and a 1 loss...Georgia wins they still got A&M and Auburn to play.

Oregon still has an outside chance for getting the PAC-12 in...they win out and win their championship game their only loss will be first game of the season to Auburn. Most likely they sneak in.

If I was to put any money on the table though...the only 2 teams I'd bet on being in the final 4 right now? Clemson & Ohio State

Pruitt with a TN boy and Ed O with the Lousiana appreciation band was the least surprising to me.
What would surprise me is if either had 1 album of their answered artists lol.

Haha nah not about the players (as long as payments are considered gifts). More about the bagmen. I was replying to Bruin and saying within the current system people avoid taxes from the payer's side. The newer system would likely bring some of this money to the surface and taxed. Similar to any black market coming to the surface.
The “payer” wouldn’t be taxed. The payee (SA) would be liable for taxes. I’d guess that the “payer” would report the $$ paid via a 1099misc.

Whatever comes to pass with this rule change, one thing is for certain. These athletes who “didn’t come here to play school” will not be making their decision based on state lax law.

True, but we have't pulled the offer? (don't know, assuming he's a PWO if anything here honestly. Reason I even listed him was winning that MVP award at The Opening is a pretty big notch in the belt)
He decommitted...also Butch.

College football is evolving into something that I'm not sure will be as good as what we've had in the past. I'm not just talking about paying players. I'm all for free market and people making money anyway they can as long as it's legal but it will change college football negatively. Amateurism is what makes college football different than pro football. You take the amateurism out of college football and you have a semi-pro league. I'm afraid that many of the things we love about college football will be gone forever in the next few years.
I love college football because, up until recently, it seemed players were team focused. The love of the game and of their brothers on the team was primary. They also seemed to play for their fellow students and school. Lately it has become more and more about “me“ - even to the point of not playing in bowl games or choosing to ”redshirt” if the season is going badly. I see this ruling as another nail. When I allow myself to think about it, it makes me sad.
