YouTube tv doesn't have NFL Network either
This is true. I’ve been beyond pleased with YouTube TV however. Especially the dvr. Unlimited storage. I also set certain shows to record that we like to watch like the office or parks and recreation etc and I think I’m getting ready to get rid of Netflix because with the unlimited storage I have all those shows saved on YouTube TV

Wondering if the NCAA will try to regulate the new student-athlete endorsement rules. People are saying the larger market areas will have an advantage to get more 5* athletes.

I tend to think it will open a whole new form of cheating. Boosters will be able to funnel cash through every small business in town to the football player(s) of choice. Players will receive thousands of dollars to allow their name to be associated with any business related weekend event. It will get out of control without some oversight.
That is exactly what is going to happen..there is literally zero way to monitor this income..none. I don't understand how people can not see how bad this is...blows my mind

Just look at it like I did.
Of course certain programs will find ways to gain advantage and even abuse the new setup.
Probably in ways we haven't even dreamed of yet.

But, let's face it, those are most likely the same programs that are taking advantage and abusing the current system.
Different road, same destination.

Yup we (fan) will play our players as much as the NCAA allows.

That’s not the angle I was going for but that’s a factor.

I saw it mentioned in another post that LA, Chicago and New York was better for schools there. I think that’s hogwash. Consumers there don’t have passion for their college teams there anything like we do here.

If JJ tells me to go buy a burger at the local burger joint I am going. I see using players for advertising in Knoxville much more likely and profitable than in New York. JMO

California wants more tax money. Kids will be shocked after those taxes are taken out. Hopefully will kill recruiting in California.
Depends, their brackets are very progressive. Great for 99% of SAs. Compare this to, say, NC, with a flat rate of 5.5%. CA wouldn't be bad at all for most. Disadvantageous for the very rare Zion types (if NCAA even allows as such, which I don't think it will).

Regionally, moreso we need GA, AL, etc taxes higher, though even that likely affects only a small number of kids. How many will really even make enough to have to file taxes? .1%? And the few that do, how many will be better off going to the lowest tax districts, rather than the biggest markets? Probably close to zero. Texas and Florida have the most advantages across both factors imo.

The NCAA is still taking the position that they are going to somehow limit this, keep it from becoming a recruiting tool, or even retaining tool.

I think it’s possible to manage it.

1) ever player that chooses to “cash”
In has to submit their proposal for approval.

2) the schools compliance works thru the ncaa to approve any proposals that are deemed fair market value pay

This is really no different than what Happens now if a player wants to get a side job in the summer. We know that doesn’t happen hardly at all in football or hoops but it does in lesser sports and those jobs have to be approved by schools compliance already in a similar manner

I think this is very doable and if the players don’t follow these rules/procedures its nothing different than being illegally paid now
