We use dark red and a can of pintos. One of my secrets is to take your ground meat and make it into patties and grill them rather than brown on the stove. Then crumble them up. Adds a nice smokey flavor you can't get anywhere or any other way. We should have a chili recipe thread or something.Lucks light red kidney beans, that's one of the secrets
