Don't know bout that they should had list of folks who would wanted thst job
And they offered. Tried to pony up to keep Chaney and then got left at the altar by Eddie Gran. What messed up their search was Smart’s intention to make Coley at least a Co-OC to keep his recruiting.

Tough scene. They had to go with Coley because they got shot down by everyone.

No they had to go with Coley because he is their ace recruiter and he had passed up other OC jobs to stay becauSe he was told he would eventually be OC there. He is who has been landing all the northeast and south Florida studs

Then why did they offer Eddie Gran? Their list said no. Coley was about to leave and it was a dumb decision by Kirby.

Only complaint with Chaney is RZ calling, he did it again against Bama. 3 straight right up the gap, even Spears called him out.
That's where we had the best advantage... Chaney knew they'd caught on. He was a step ahead. JG didn't trust him... ball game. We'll never know what might've been. I've moved on... kinda.

He's only really played well when there's another QB pushing him for PT. I think it makes him relax a little... less pressure knowing that if you can't get it done, someone else will.
He's only played well when the opposing D had certain weaknesses. He played well vs Auburn last year. They gave him open receivers and opportunities for 50/50 balls on the outside. USCe let UT receivers run uncovered through the secondary all day. I only remember one pass being contested by a DB.

Uga is missing Chaney in a big way this year. Their offense is not close to same. If you can stop their run which I think uf and barn can do uga may chock up 2 more losses which is huge problem with all talent they have
Actually stats are UP this year from last and ppg are down 1 point so far. UGA ranks top 20 offense in CFP and UF 52nd. #1 Rushing offense in SEC, Fl has 33rd rushing D, Ga fans don’t want to see it this week but UGA is going to run, run, run. Tag that with the #1 D in the SEC (#5 overall) and it sets up for UGA. Perception on USCe game was no offense but they put up 500 yards offense and last 5 drives starting in the 4th was. Fumble inside S.C. 30, Int inside S.C. 30, TD, Int inside S.C. 30, and a missed FG.

You aren’t beating any team in the SEC with 4 TO (while getting 0) and 2 missed FGs.
Washington related, his coach is still discussing punishment (if any) for DW.

You don’t intentionally go to a 4th down, ever. Way too much bad stuff can happen.

Well yeah. Obviously Chaney/Pruitt would have preferred to score on the first 3 downs, but the idea was that if they didn't get a push on downs 1-3 then they would go outside on the 4th. The UT OL had pretty much shoved Bama's DL backwards on that 4th qtr drive, so I am sure the hope was that they could do it at the goalline because you also prefer not to run horizontally against the Bama D in goalline situations. While I might have preferred that they try that guard pull on 3rd down, what Chaney did clearly worked as Bama stacked 6 defenders into the A gaps expecting another inside run.

No, run it outside, their freshman LBs are slow to react, they still are struggling in spurts. Would have Loved to score there, honestly think Bama would have went turtle shell with the offense with Tua out. Only movement they got on offense was what we call ‘ref aided’ TD aka Bama refs.

I agree center dline usually is their strength
