No. It is not. I have ballz as big as church bellz. Not only is it tougher to get to the playoff, it is another week where you team gets beat up over the course of the year. It is already tough enough for Tennessee to win more than other teams in the East because we play the toughest opponent in the West, every year. Are there years that Bama is not the best in the West? Yes? Not many, though. This is called being scared. Grow a pair.
A loss won't hurt FL, but a win could make it skyrocket especially since it will put them in the SEC championship. The way I decide who to root against most in the UGA vs UF game .. is who would it hurt most to lose. If UF loses, their fanbase will still be good with the improvement UF has shown this year. I wouldn't expect a UF loss to hurt their recruiting at all. On the other hand .. if UGA loses .. their fanbase will go ballistic. FAHR Kirby chants will start and I definitely think it would hurt UGA's recruiting. So I am pulling for UGA to lose big.
I would want to play them if we didn't already have our big 3. But if we beat our own conference, we're already in the playoffs, so a win is no gain but a loss is a tarnish on our record. Just not enough pro's, doesn't make sense. My feeling is though that Oklahoma is much more likely to be a powerhouse than someone like BYU. I don't mind quite as much scheduling teams like that.
