@LA Vol

I know you responded to this last week and said we already try to get some kids on non-athletic scholarships.

Just curious if there would be anything wrong with offering kids a non-athletic scholarship with a stipend 2 or 3x the size of COA stipends the players normally get. Would kids have any reason NOT to take this? Figure we could get 5+ kids on these a year for a few hundred grand in Y1 and grow to 600-800k by Y4 then level out.

And then we'd only be limited to the 110 man roster by having 20 or more 3*, 4*, 5* walkons. Surely some boosters - @Atlanta VOL and his crew - could help fund some of these scholarships, or hell even all fans could microdonate to the scholarship fund and easily get enough to make this happen.

Just not sure if there's something I'm missing as to why it wouldn't work or be allowed.

Because the ncaa doesn’t allow it is the best reason

It was 8 years ago. There was a hematoma on the thigh. An incision was made from where the biopsy was done down to it. Are you in Texas?

Yes ma’am.

I have had a patient get some recovery of nerve function >3 years after the injury by having the scar tissue and old hematoma broken down with serial steroid injections (ultrasound giuded). Nerves aren’t supposed to be able to recover when you hit 2 years out from the injury, but the human body doesn’t always follow the “rules”...

Do you have kids? Might be a cool experience. However, i might suggest the Naked Gun type full body condom.
I do but they arent going to that game until they are 15 or older. That game is a shytshow. Went every year from 2006 to 2016 and had parking passes next to the stadium. All those rednecks got to see a maroon Tundra with a big ol power T on the back every year walking to the game with a huge tailgate.

One year, I hit a gator fan with my truck. We were pulling around to leave the stadium after florida won with a former UGA player in the back seat and this gator fan stumbles across the road, tightropes the curb and tries to gator chomp in my passenger window. Unfortunately for him he slipped off the curb and I hit him going about 20-25. I looked to my left and a Jacksonville sherrif was laughing and told me to keep moving.

I might be the only one, but I loved third down for what. During OK game it was super hype
I was cool with it but i didn’t like how it was so repetitive. I don’t think you have to have one single third down sound. Mix it up, old, new, rock, rap, techno, something to get loud to something to dance too etc. keep the fans involved.

It would also be a horrible situation for the fans/players. You think fans get mad at players now? Imagine when they are personally paying for said player to be a bust or have a bad game.

Friends In Low Places was a fun sing-a-long. After that reporter’s piece last week, it would be hilarious to steal Dixieland Delight since it’s actually a TENNESSEE tune. 😉

It is no longer allowed. Nebraska use to do this by putting instate players on academic scholarships and NCAA stopped it.

They had that walkon program down to a professional science! Park those big farmboys on a 100 plus roster, steroid em up and by their redshirt junior season they were NFL ready.

Yes they did. And they ran the ball behind them every play and made stars out of their RBs. The RBs got to the NFL and many were busts. It seems that it is easy to run the ball behind a great big offensive line

Way I see it, I'd take speed over tackling. Goal 1 is to reach him. At least hit him if spy can't make the tackle, and if spy can't hit him, then redirect or slow him. More than 1 way to skin a cat. But if spy can't get close to him, he's going to have his way.

Pruitt has been good at stopping 1 dimensional teams. Though we haven't really played a pure wildcat guy either. Will be an interesting challenge.

If you put Bryson on Bowden you are definitely taking speed over tackling. But I am not sure you spy Bowden. He is not a passing QB who will run as soon as the pocket starts collapsing. From what I have seen of him so far as a QB is he is a running QB who will occasionally pass, so expect him to run. Rather than spy him I think it is more important for everyone on the defense to be gap sound and maintain their assignments. Trust the coaches to have you in the right alignment. Keep 8 up and make him prove he can beat you throwing the ball.

Our whole music/fan involvement during breaks, timeouts, third downs, etc sucked.

Maybe because “welcome to the jungle” came out a decade before the players were born. At least it isn’t “crazy train,” but it feels so meh.

I personally would like to see them work in Copperhead Road. It may be old, but at least it’s East Tennessee specific.

Does it interfere with other meds?
I have my girlfriend on CBD for rheumatoid arthritis. The distribution guy told me that she needs to take meds an hour or two before the CBD so no interaction will happen. She just started it so dont know if it is going to help or not. It's got to build up in your system for a week or 2 then then benefits show happen. Good luck SAS.

I was checking out the SEC standings. Noticed Missouri has a perfect home and away record. 5-0 at home. 0-3 away. Really thinking that would be a better home game for us. Still, they're on a two-game skid. Hopefully, that's a trend that continues.

They go to Georgia and then get Florida at home. There's a good chance they're on a four game skid by the time Tennessee shows up, which might make them extra mad. But Florida probably knocks that perfect home record off so maybe it will just deflate them.

Looking at the bottom five in the East, and only South Carolina has an away win. The rest are winless on the road. In the West the bottom four are the same with Texas A&M the only team among them with a win on the road. It stands to reason, but it's interesting to see the demarcation.
