Deep down we all know Pruitt's been keeping Shrout hidden in order to keep Bailey from bailing on us.

Their defense isn't that great. Their pass defense is terrible and their run defense is middle of the pack.

yeah, i think we can all agree there. his biggest issues seem to be that he's a bit of a statue, and he's had issues manaing the game, and he's been prone to turning it over....but really, so has JG and BM. no one is heads and shoulders above the others in that regard.

i think if you lined all three up and just had them throw the ball, shrout's is probably the best looking one of the bunch.

BM actually moves the ball...that is head and shoulders above the others.

It was more about our inability to stop their run game. Dowdle averaged like 10 yards a carry in the second half

I seem to recall it being more of a defensive problem late in that game as well.

I truly believe it has more to do with recruiting than jg as a player.

I def think it is PR and some Psych work on JG. He does need him, even I know that, destroying JG further serves him or the team no purpose...

I sat in Neyland in a weeks ago and watched him throw multiple passes to the other team (BYU) We were just fortunate they only caught one of them. Thus the comparison. So no, I'm not blind. He has played worse.

As much as I've been frustrated with JG, it's still astonishing to think about this fall. It was the most unlikely outcome that JG has been passed up by the second and third string QB. Nowhere else but Tennessee.

I don't really have much hope for JT either..yet..but he has to get experience to improve, and I think he has great potential...like Tyler Bray potential.

I guess I misunderstood. My problem is not the Ints so much. It is seeing players open and him piddledickin around till too late, taking sacks, not being able to hit the broad side of a barn and missing wide open WRs running free etc etc etc...you know basically everything a QB is supposed to do..

UT doesnt have a good answer at QB right now. JG should have been good enough until a better option was recruited and developed but hes forced Pruitt and Chaney to try other options that aren't ready. It's making things more difficult than it should.

Can't argue with that. Heck, all I wanted/expected from JG going into the year, was good solid play and quality veteran leadership.
