"Of likely caucus-goers, 20% said Buttigieg is their top choice among the field of Democratic presidential candidates. That moves him to second in the poll – up from fourth in September – just behind Sen. Elizabeth Warren who maintained her lead at 28%."
Seven point bump since last month. My boy doing work.
Buttigieg jumps to second in Iowa State University/Civiqs poll
He's been in Nevada the last couple days, and has trips planned to South Carolina and New Hampshire coming up. He also added a bunch of new on the ground people in those states plus Iowa. His team on the ground is solid and growing.I can see him winning Iowa, and he seems to have a plan to capitalize on a strong finish there. The path is hard to see, but Trump's path was hard to see too at this point in 2015.
Still, I feel the left may need to get McGovern-ed (maybe more than once) before they drop the purity tests and allow themselves to listen to a common sense candidate again, but we will see.

I see him winning Iowa, Nevada, and New Hampshire. I think he will have trouble in South Carolina. From there the race
is wide open. He's already getting volunteers together in the later states (Tennessee included).
Agreed on this purity test nonsense from people on the far left. Basically if you don't like Warren or Bern, you're a Republican.

I guess she’d like to escort Mayor Pete to the roof of the nearest tall building.I think we all can guess why she wouldn’t want the good mayor
Ilhan Omar laments 'tragic' thought of Biden or Buttigieg as 2020 nominee

Why do you have former friends? I have friends that I've had for 50 years. These tests are literally Puritan. It is so ingrained in the American fabric that I am not sure either side sees how it short-circuits thought and the careful consideration of issues necessary to make sane decisions.
For example, I told a former friend that Mark Warner of Virginia or Phil Bredesen would have gotten a nomination at some point if the left really wanted to win big. Seemed a pretty innocuous a comment to me since both guys won red counties by huge margins in state wide elections. Within 5 minutes he was telling me that I was like the Germans who stood by as Hitler took power for supporting GOP-lite candidates.
After that, I thought my conservative uncle would get a chuckle out of this story, so I relayed it to him over some whisky. Instead of seeing the absurdity in it, he agreed with my liberal friend about the severity of my mistake. His reason, though, was because far-left liberals like Bredesen and Warner would allow so many babies to be murdered. Then he re-thought, and said that it would actually be worse than the Holocaust to elect people like that to national office.
Welcome to America, I guess. Lesson one, avoid politics at work, church, and family or public gatherings.
