Get your lsu bias self off a UT board. On your way out check this...Literally ever receiver that has played at LSU in the last 10 years that I can recall that stayed in school (and many that didn't) have played on active rosters in the NFL. Maybe there is one, I just can't think of them if there is one that has escaped.
Just stop.
Since 2000... LSU has had 18 WRs drafted in the NFL draft... averaging 1 WR per year...
2018: DJ Chark
2018: Russell Gage
2017: Malachi Dupree
2014: Odell Beckham
2014: Jarvis Landry
2014: James Wright
2012: Rueben Randle
2010: Brandon LaFell
2010: Trindon Holliday
2009: Demetrius Byrd
2008: Early Doucet
2007: Dwayne Bowe
2007: Craig Davis
2006: Skylar Green
2006: Benie Brazell
2004: Michael Clayton
2004: Devery Henderson
2002: Josh Reed
So there's that... if we're including CB/S the list grows exponentially and most are still impact starters, several Pro-Bowlers

These is the list of lsu 4/5* wr's that have enrolled into lsu from 2009 (relevant year) to 2016 (nfl eligible). DJ chark is the only good 3* on here. When people say "make it to the league", the premise is to not only get drafted or try-out, but to do well in the league. How many of these guys did well in nfl?
Reuben randle
James wright
Kadrin boone
Travin dural
John diarse
Avery peterson
Rickey jefferson
Malachi dupre
Trey Quinn
Tony upchurch
Jarvis Landry
Obj
Dj chark (3*)
Tyron johnson
Derrick dillon
Jazz ferguson
Stephen sullivan
Drake davis
Dee anderson
Next thing you will say is lsu is the place to be for elite qb's after burrow gets drafted this offseason.![]()
Take off wr and you got a point.Get your stupidity off the board.
Nobody said they are all great. Just because LSU or some other school has them on the roster doesn't make them all pro NFL guys, nobody is implying that.
Not sure what your point is? Chances are if you play the following positions (RB,WR,S,CB) at LSU, the NFL will either draft you, invite you to camp... most likely at the end of the day... worst case make a roster for a few years. Other positions are more normal hit and miss.
Take off wr and you got a point.
Gave you 19 names and 3 of them hit (16% success rate). LSU prides themselves as DBU (rightly deserved).
And I'm stupid b/c we disagree? You sound real smart there bub.
Take your sorry ass back to the LSU board. Stop responding to me, we are done here. I gave you my opinion with statistics to back it up. Take it or leave it![]()
I gave you a rebuttal earlier, with names and detail, which you apparently ignored. Thanks for your well thought out rebuttal
the only thing that matters is that they get to the league, what they do when they get there is inconsequential. every single one of the recruits that are of that ilk think they are not only going to the league, but that they'll be great when they get there. the problem is getting there...................
in that regard, LSU holds its own quite well when talking to both WR and DB recruits about their chances of making it to the NFL based on past performance/history of the positions.
not sure why that's really even a debatable point.
Max has looked good this year, still has plenty of drops but last couple years, the WR were middle school level as top 6 WR got hurt, that’s incredible #s. His technique is solid as he has two QB coaches in his family which will give him a leg up as a freshman. They will certainly go after Bailey now. He's simply a better prospect than these two they have committed.
TN has had plenty of riches at WR, what recruiting names do you think Pruitt and Co use? These highs school kids don't give a damn about pre-2010 let alone 2002. The premise of this topic was what has these schools produced lately in terms of nfl talent. You can always go back 20/30/40 years to validate a moot point. I bet lsu only uses obj, landry, & now chark as part of their recruiting pitch to land highly talented high school wide receivers.
Yea i agree about pulling guys from the "past", but how long in the past are they referring to. Obj is post 2010 (still relevant). Usc has plenty of guys too from 2010 to present day. These kids don't care as much about guys that were the greats when they were in diapers or not even alive at the time.TN has had plenty of riches at WR, what recruiting names do you think Pruitt and Co use?
What about USC? Think they pull names of the past?
LSU can use names of today, there isn’t a WR in HS that doesn’t know who OBJ is. They tell these kids they are the next OBJ and just use the #s provided that they Can get you to the NFL. They just want the check.
Lol idk why you and corndog keep bringing up pro-bowl. And I gave you a recent & relevant grocery list of high caliber wr's in high school that attended lsu that werent anything in college or pros. Like i said before these kids want to do good or great in the nfl, not just "drafted or try-out." That's why in a lot of their interviews they talk about "preparing" for the nfl (being productive when they get there, not being some practice squad or bench player). People on here even allude to it time to time about lsu is paying some of these wr's to commit because they have been anemic when it has came to their passing offense over the last several years. None of that is message board talk is discussed when OU signs 3 5* in one class (2019 class).I gave you a rebuttal earlier, with names and detail, which you apparently ignored.
Point in fact, several folks have offered up similar rebuttals, which you have brushed off because it seems like you are looking for a list of perennial Pro-Bowlers, and that list is gonna be short for any program.
In the last 10 years, LSU has seen 3 former WRs go on to star in the NFL at a Pro-Bowl level (OBJ, Landry, and Dwayne Bowe). Several others have been NFL starters and key contributors to Super Bowl winning teams (Devery Henderson and Brandon LaFell). One of the breakout stars of this young NFL season has been DJ Chark.
LSU has had 8 WRs drafted since 2010, the same number as Oklahoma, and one fewer than Clemson. More guys from LSU (3) have made a Pro Bowl in that time than OU and Clemson combined (1).
So, like I said, you’re wrong.
1. You used a lot of words to have not made a single valid point.Lol idk why you and corndog keep bringing up pro-bowl. And I gave you a recent & relevant grocery list of high caliber wr's in high school that attended lsu that werent anything in college or pros. 1. You used a lot of words to have not made a single valid point.
2. I named several LSU WRs over the past 10 years who have been a lot more than just bench player and reserves.
3. With regards to point #2, we keep bringing up “Pro-Bowl” to illustrate the ridiculous standard by which you’re judging NFL players’ ability. It seems as if in your mind, if a player isn’t an All-Pro, then he is a scrub benchwarmer. There is a huge span between those two things where roughly 80% of the rest of the guys in the NFL fall.
4. LSU’s passing game is anemic because they have not had a QB worth a plug nickel over the past 10 years until Burrow, not because they have lacked WR talent.
Bama (julio, ridley, cooper)Let’s just use this point right here. What schools boast a better trio of WR success than OBJ, Landry, and Bowe in the past 10 years?
I’ve already crossed off two of the most obvious candidates for you in Oklahoma and Clemson.
Maybe he just finally saw something in Kirby that didn't work for him.Said that I would mention something that was apparent on Gilbert all along. It’s also proof silents don’t mean what they once did, or public commits for that matter. AG pinned the date he originally silently committed on his Twitter. I kept waiting for that to be taken down, never did. Don’t think Bama gives up on AG but they are going full blast on Washington, trying to get Theo to visit them as well.
