Ya, Butch = Butch's staff, not him personally. I doubt many HC are the primary developers of players. How they get used is moreso on the HC. Justin Coleman for instance.I think that’s partially true. You don’t really need your head coach to be the one doing the developing. Butch replaced several quality assistants with clowns. I think our usage rates. we’re fine for the most part. Obviously
Kamara should’ve been used more specifically as a pass catcher. But other than that i can’t think of anyone we just didn’t use lol
I'd settle for someone willing to talk about the positive and the negative, rather than focusing on the negative. Most fans are acutely aware of the negative any way. But I think a big reason for the attitude is most have no real ins with the AD, and it pisses them off.our best guys have all gone on to do bigger/better things.
chris low, wojo, ryan mcgee (not sure why the general consensus is on RM, but i like the guy....), our guy at Outkick...charles davis....
kinda weird there's not more former players involved in the local media. i don't dislike ainge, but i take him with a grain of salt...like him most for the actual football talk, less on the peripheral, big picture stuff. swain, pretty much the exact opposite...probalby why i listen to them both.
anyway...im not looking for water carriers in the media...but it'd sure be nice if we had guys that at least gave a crap. unlike hyams, adams, ubben etc..........
probably, but we don't care about that. just report the freaking news....there are people over there at KNS that look like they're literally going after the program.....I'd settle for someone willing to talk about the positive and the negative, rather than focusing on the negative. Yes, but redemption can happen (the Hound? Theon?). Meanwhile, this young man is still wearing our orange and competing for us.I am serious...HOW..can you not feel this way? He is awful, no beyond awful..it is not too much. I am not talking about him as a person, but I literally hate the sight of him on the field. It sucks every shred of hope. He shocked me in the MSU game and I thought he might finally be worth something, and then he pulls that awful awful awful betrayal of trust last Saturday..not to mention looking like a total spaz doing it..I can not forget that.
yep. i do a lot of travel around the caroilnas, atlanta, east tennessee and sometimes, ugh, alabama and florida. But seriously, most college towns set the bar with a good mix of fair/knowledgeable and homers. But not us, we shoot for the opposite.
I always get friends from elsewhere to listen and they're surprised by the vitriol or just lack of knowledge. Shame when so many on this board can break down games or plays better than someone making a living.

Haha, Seen posters on this board do the same. Pick TN in a close game that the opponent should win but add a little caveat like "if coach ___ doesn't screw it up".Sounds like a set up so he can be ultra negative if we lose. I don't trust Adams.
We’ll see how he does. To be one of the highest paid coaches in the game I would think his record vs top ten would be better. And no conference championship. We’ll see how he finishes this year. He’s had three 10 win seasons in 4 years. Any program who isn’t happy with 10 win seasons needs to take a look in the mirror. It’s also silly to think a guy who coached in a super bowl can’t take that next step especially considering Ohio state lost maybe the 2nd best CFB coach in modern era.
Moseley came in as a very lean, light ex- Qb, albeit fast and athletic. It was a gradual process for us to muscle him up, and allow him OJT as a DB. Glad he is doing well.Clearly he had the talent, or he wouldn't be playing on Sundays. Whether or not he got discovered by other p5 schools is irrelevant to the point.
lol, forgot about finebaum.....Our media guys are some of the least homerish in media. You'd never know Low and GeneW went to UT, McGee and Maddi Shipman bend over backward to be impartial, and Finebaum is the anti-alum. Davis and Candace Parker are the best we have. Candace will be really good when she turns to broadcasting full-time.
