Recruiting Forum Football Talk II

Anybody else think that the USCjr heavy handed punishment for a text message coming down less than a week removed from complaining about the officiating screw job against UF and timed with a release by Sankey on officiating smell suspicious?

It's almost like the conference is punishing USCjr for questioning conference integrity and making it known it will not tolerate officiating complaints and we all need to deal with how the SEC wants these games called.
If you read the article, these penalties were agreed to by NCAA and USCjr months ago. Many of the recruiting penalties that had dates applied have already passed. So.. NO they just awaited to announce the USCjr penalties now.

Am I the only one that thought Shrout looked good in his one unmolested drop back?

He puts 3 more yards of air under that ball and we're all talking like he’s the 2nd coming...

I tend to agree, from a pure arm talent/pocket passer standpoint I think he's the best on the team. I've not seen enough in game action though to call him anything yet...

Hey, this is fun. An article on the S(c)ankey statement on rigged officiating says:

"Sankey points out all the avenues fans have this season to get a better understanding of calls ...being made on Saturdays, including ...the addition of former SEC referee Matt Austin to the SEC Network’s coverage every weekend throughout the season."

So the Bammer Homeboy League (SEC) has hired an analyst for the explicit purpose of justifying and lying about rigged calls. Why do I not feel better?

Yea, that's a farce. I actually can't even believe that they would want to publicize that about Austin. They are basically admitting that they wanted him at ESPN to analyze the calls. I would have wanted to separate myself from that. ESPN hired him, and while "ESPN and the SEC are partners, we (SEC) don't tell them when to use him or what calls to analyze."

It's arrogance at its finest.

Pruitt said bef the FL, at least, that JT and Brian had equal arms and BM got the nod for the additional advantage he brought as a runner, iirc.

The Sankey response was so predictable. His job is to bring money to the SEC and assuring 1 team and always a legit shot at 2, are in the the playoffs makes him "successful".

There is absolutely no such thing as any organization policing itself working. None.
This. And we just saw what happened when SC squawked. Or cackled. Or whatever hens do.

The Bama DE initially lined up offside, but he backed up before the snap. You have to watch the video of the play. Some instigator just posted a snapshot of the offside alignment to stir us up even more.
This is correct. I just watched the video pausing every sec, and deleted my post asap. THANK YOU for the heads up.

Pretty sad...within days of bad calls Vols fans have found HARD EVIDENCE to prove refs were not only fans of specific schools, but the school we were facing and they directly impacted the outcome of the games.

Ridiculous

I don't understand. I swear there used to be a rule about officials doing games within a certain radius of their hometown. Someone said it's why Rocky Goode never did a UT game.

How in the heck does this happen?
