Never played football. I played soccer in college. Traveled the US from when I was 10-18 on a travel team so I do know what it is like playing for a team and one goal. I know what one cancer can do to a team. We never really had many fans so I know nothing about what they could have possibly wanted from us other than to win and I bet half of them didn’t really know what was going on in the game lol.

I played CAM in college for a couple years as a walk on but ended up wanting to frat out instead.

Yes, in Gadsden. I didn’t care for it. Strike 1: they didn’t have brisket. Strike 2: they served my pulled pork already covered in bbq sauce. Great bbq doesn’t need sauce. Strike 3: they didn’t have Coke Zero. Strike 4: Bama fans everywhere.
my friend had chicken and dumplings and he said it was the best he’s ever had. But the pulled pork that I had wasn’t very good.
Good chance that pulled pork was road kill. Look for a jacked up truck with bull testicles swinging on the back before you eat at a restaurant in Alabama.

I understand. I played center mid. I only lasted a year. I liked to party more. When you go to Georgia Southern, you don’t go to spend your weekends playing ball. Plus my attitude was terrible. You don’t get away with that in college like high school...

Hype factor imo for the players.

I'll admit it was kind of cool, but more than that - kind of intimidating. You see all the lights flashing off and on and hear "we will rock you" as you just try to talk to your position coach or teammates over all the noise...not very welcoming or calming. The home team feels like they are about to go to battle and the away team feels like they are in a maddening battle arena where all the spectators want to see the lion eat the man.

After seeing that, I think this would be an advantage for any home team, if done right. Of course some programs will botch it too.

The Bama Factor helps too. All the lights and hype would just feel silly, say, in Nashville, when 70% of the crowd is for the visiting team.
I thought it was pathetic and cheezy.

I think Kris Richard will get a head job this year too

Pane, here's the link:
Could Brian Maurer play Saturday after another concussion?

The doctors that he is speaking to are talking in hypotheticals because they are not treating BM. They do not know whether BM had 1,2, or 0 concussions. In my opinion, Ubben wrote this article because a lot of people are wondering what the likelihood that BM plays under the possibilities we consider with the knowledge that we have (he's been taken out of 2 straight games for fear of concussion). He's not trying to smear Pruitt if he plays him on Saturday. The article makes it clear with that Pruitt does not make those decisions. He listens to the medical team.

You better read his response to comments.

all i'm getting at is not having a hostile environment if 2 walks out on that field.

i remember last season many of us taking great pleasure in the discourt between Franks and Gator nation.....well, if 2 walks out there Saturday and we start giving him the business, we're the exact same as them.

i have no faith that 2 can go "win" the game either. i think if there's any other options, we shoudl explore those. do not mis understand me here...i'm not advocating for JG here. i'm advocating for understanding the bigger picture in regards to where we are as a program....and how that would be perceived by the very people we need to help fix this thing......recruits.
I think recruits will know damn well who the ire is targeted at if it happens.

With the possibility of JG moving on (🙏) and Maurer being made of balsa wood, is JT??, Hill and Bailey enough? Do we try and get a Grad transfer or Juco QB for next year?
