They already were a perennial 8-4, 9-3, or 10-2 squad. One of those losses was always Tennessee. Let's ensure that doesn't change going forward.
We did really well against them in the 12 years between Dooley and Richt, going 9-1 in that span. We beat them more times in a row (9) than anyone ever has. At all other times we are 14-23 against them though, with the natural recruiting advantage they have we'll be doing good if we can maintain this as an essentially .500 series from here on out.

I don't know about their offense, if they keep that moron calling plays for them now it shouldn't be too scary but their defense will be nasty next year. It's probably the best in the SEC this year, they have still yet to allow a rushing TD or more than 17 in regulation and they should have most of their starters and key contributors back.
Disagree, I think their D next year takes a step back but the O will be much better, check thier depth chart. They lose the majority of D and nearly all the starters if a few juniors declare early:

J.R. Reed and Tyler Clark are the only people of real note they are losing on defense, other than those two, most of the rest of those names are familiar from recruiting and they've got higher upside and are playing a ton. Kirby makes some bonehead calls, but the guys proven he can build defenses without Saban. They'll be better. We really need to keep our fingers crossed that he's bullheaded enough to keep that James Coley calling plays. That guy's so bad he's like a NASCAR restrictor plate for an offense. We dealt them a serious blow, even though most of them were too dumb to realize it when we got Chaney.

I feel like he kept Coley for recruiting purposes but probably didn't feel like the offense would take the step back that it has recently.

Let me just say that offense took a step back with Chaney leaving. They can say whatever the hell they want but Georgia beats Carolina if Chaney is still OC there. Bama also has taken a step back defensively since Pruitt left.
Only complaint with Chaney is RZ calling, he did it again against Bama. 3 straight right up the gap, even Spears called him out.

No offense Bass but this is crazy thinking. You think Kirby is a bad coach? Why? He has done much better than Richt. I mean let’s face it, UGA was one half from a NC. If Tua wasn’t otherworldly, UGA cruises to a NC. Smart is a very good HC. Saying otherwise is a little shortsighted.
To be fair, Bama refs were much worse in that game that cost UGA but going in you know you have to beat both Bama and refs.

Speaking of, he’s supposedly shaky in that commitment (shocker), think he ends up at TN?
I dont know that the kid has any idea where he is going. Pretty sure hes the one with the handler that has a few teams spooked. Some people are hard to deal with.

Good point, but I still don’t think he ends up at Ky. Their season isn’t helping but just feels he ends up at TN or OSU, and TN makes more sense. But, also makes more sense if he stuck to his higher ceiling on the OL. Been a weird recruitment.

Not at all just amuses me that the board hangs on his every word. He has as much control over fickle teenagers as the next Joe. Still waiting for Justin Rogers to commit. I hope he's right about DW tho.

They do it bc he is legit..... the only reason most is on this board is to hear any rumor they can.

That was an atrociously officiated game, if that was Tennessee and those were the stakes I'd go to my grave with bitterness over that one. It was straight theft. The only game I ever saw that was worse was one time Oklahoma got hosed real bad by Oregon, it was about 15 years ago, but that was a regular season game.
