QB play is so big. We saw what Bama was without Tua. Very average. One td drive with the help of the DT penalty that was not a penalty.

No you saw that the two rosters really aren’t all that different on the field. That’s why i rolled my eyes at all these people inventing terms like paper 4 stars and acting like we had a bunch of MAC level players.

I didn’t really take it as anything. He basically said JP didn’t know what he was doing half the time which is why he doesn’t play but still found a way to get in on a few tackles. If Peterson would figure out wtf he is doing he could be serviceable. He moves well out there just clearly doesn’t study playbook

Well in fairness from our 16 and 17 classes they are MAC, especially at the QB position. Which is why our hopes are pinned to a true freshman QB.

Yep college game is all about the QB. When you get a special one They can win or lose you games you should or shouldn’t win.

Bama will probably look better offensively next game with a full to gameplan around Mac. Can’t run all the same RPO stuff you do with Tua. Still won’t be anything close to what they were unless they do what I think they may do and that is throw out Tuas little brother and use this as one of the four games

16 had warrior who had a great game and made a game changing play. Byrd whos won us a game. Callaway who’s our best or 2nd best WR, Bituli is our best LB, Alexis Johnson was a nice player too. Same with 17. There’s a lot of quality production in that class. Trey, Chandler, Palmer, cimaglia, Theo, Sham, Tim Jordan etc.

Sadly huge bust at QB effects both.

I am convinced he decided to sneak it in the hurry up but 74 was late lining up and that allowed Bama to get set. He should have changed his mind after the delay obviously

Anyone else just get so angry watching JG play? Even before his stupid going rogue moment. After seeing BM, I just get so sick watching JG body language in field. Slow at everything. Zero urgency. Just nonchalant like losing doesn’t bother him. He does RPO and screens like a turtle instead of getting ball out.

I semi-agree with your point that we did have some talented players under the Butch regime. The sad part was how Butch let the S&C program go to sh!t. It has taken 2 years of a normal S&C program to get the team back to where they can throw a TE 5 yards back and blow up a running play against #1 Bama.

I don’t care about the body language but he’s obviously just not Nearly as quick and decisive. That’s the frustrating part for me
