While I was watching the press conference Freak posted, I noticed something. Freak joined [started] VN 16 years ago tomorrow. I thought it appropriate to tell him how much we appreciate this board. I have lurked on other boards and there is no doubt this is one of (or perhaps the best) fan-run sports board on the internet. So make sure you give him whatever praise you feel is appropriate.
Also, Freak aska us what we are doing in the Friday night before game day threads. Thought it might be fun to turn the tables on the Grand Poobah.

I'll start: @Freak, What has been your favorite(s) thread on VN over the past 16 years?

Thanks for creating and running a great board. This site is a second home to me and many of the posters are like extended friends and family. I appreciate the what you have put together for us. Thank you. Happy VN birthday, Freak. Your message board is old enough to drive.

You know, the Vols had a really great football program going until Freak stated this VN board.......

I admittedly have an addiction. Countless times my wife has said, "can you get off Volnation for a minute and help me". I usually tell her to wait a minute😄. I do enjoy it, and appreciate it. I've made friends on Facebook through here, and a few that we text occasionally. I've seen love shown to our posters who have lost someone they love, or going through a hard time with sickness, or something else. I've received the same love during bad times with my wife's health. I appreciate the effort some put into bringing us great threads, and info that we live for. There's some great people, and even ones I disagree and argue with, I enjoy and wish them nothing but the best. Thanks Freak, and all of you for your contributions. GBO!

This is by far the best place to express your opinions and critique those of others. Though I have been admonished for over exuberance (warranted I admit) I am completely and happily addicted to this site.

Thank you Freak for your help running one of the best fan sites there isI have been a member for 13 years now and its been a pleasure to be allowed to get some great insight to UT sports from the Vol fans...Its always fun ....Keep up the great work and know that you and the site are greatly appreciated ….even from the other guys....

Do the Gruden threads all count as one thread? Lol.

The site was actually born in August 2003 but we changed message board software in October and that’s why the join dates are that way.

It’s funny to look back at how the site looked back then and in the early years.

I appreciate all of you who’ve stuck around over the years through the good and bad. Without those of you who visit every day I’d be here talking to myself. That’s how it felt sometimes in the early days. 😬

Lol my husband will glance my way sometimes and say, you haven't got enough football talk yet? Or hear me chuckle to myself and ask what? I try to fill him in sometimes but it's just met with blank stares. 😂
