Turner
Bowden
James
Fulkerson
Kent
Probably only see Pons, Burns, Johnson, and potentially Plavsic play meaningful minutes off the bench. Bowden, Turner, and James are gonna have to play 30+ mins most nights.
Starters: James, Turner, Bowden, Pons, Fulky. BenchI think the backcourt is probably a no-brainer with Turner/James/Bowden. The frontcourt is the obvious question mark.
My question is, who is considered a 4 and who is a 5? For example would Fulkerson play as the 4 with Plavsic as the 5? Or is Fulk only a 5? That said I THINK Fulk is probably a 4 or 5, Kent a 4 or 5, Plavsic is a 5, Pons a 4, and ORN a 4. That said, I'll go with:
Starting Lineup:
Turner
James
Bowden
ORN
Fulkerson
Bench (in order of minutes):
Plavsic
Pons
Johnson
Kent
Gaines

True. I think he's a good guy, but his coaching leaves a lot to be desired. My guess is that every 3-4 years he will continue to run.Cuonzo left MO State, TN, and California after 3 years at each stop. The last 2 instead of waiting to be fired. This is his 4th year at Missouri. He's overstayed his welcome there and he'll regret not running away again after 3.

As for the current team, Rick Barnes said at SEC Media Day that he expected Josiah James to return to practice on Thursday. There’s no huge concern, as James has been nursing a groin strain that the staff is being careful with, but they need to get him on the floor soon if he’s going to be effective early in the season. Jalen Johnson has taken advantage of James’ absence to get a lot of run on the first team and he’s having a nice preseason. During last Friday’s open practice, Johnson shot the ball as well as I’ve ever seen him, draining at least five 3-pointers (by my unofficial count) during full court 5-on-5 work.
-VQThere’s still no word on Uros Plavsic’s NCAA appeal, which is starting to be a bit of a cause for frustration. Interestingly, and I was surprised to hear it, someone told me this week that John Fulkerson would start in the post regardless of how Plavsic’s eligibility issue played out.
Kyle Boone had some interesting comments on Josiah James on CBS’s b-ball website:
5. Who is the most underrated potential one-and-done?
By underrated, I'm going to use the paramaters of any true freshman who 247Sports rated as a sub-top-20 prospect. Using that, my vote is ... drumroll please ... Josiah-Jordan James. The 6-5 point guard will be thrust into a starting role right away at Tennessee, and I'm not so sure he won't be one of the best at the position in the SEC this season. You might feel like he's playing in slow motion when you watch him, but he methodically picks apart teams and has an innate feel for the game that separates him from many others. When you couple that with his 6-6 frame, it's easy to project him having a short stint in college.
Is the plan for him to our PG? That would allow Turner and Bowden to play their more natural positions and only run point when James needs a break...that’s ideal IMO if James is ready for it
If healthy James will start Game 1Unless he's slow picking it up, he might be Turner's backup at PG from day one. Bowden ran some PG last year but didn't look real comfortable or natural with it. Other than those 3 it might have to be the walk-on or advancing the ball by committee if Turner/James/Bowden aren't available. I don't know if the emergency PG is Jalen Johnson, Yves Pons, Jacob Fleschman, or even Gaines.
IMO James will be starting by mid-season and most likely as the PG on offense. Turner still likely draws the defensive assignment in the opposing PG.
My guess is at SF, but could be PG.
sounds like Turner, Bowden, James, Pons, Fulky are the likely starters
