We need the SCAR win. Gotta start protecting Neyland and get back to making it a dreaded place to play. Players feed off the energy of a rocking Neyland, and we need to snap the Muschamp win streak before it gets one game longer. It would give us a mental edge down the stretch.
The university needs to make a strong effort to get as many Vol fans in there as possible for the SCAR game. Reach out to season ticket holders and offer to buy back tickets for those that don’t plan on going. Then drive down to the most redneck areas of East Tennessee and hand those tickets out for free. Do the same thing with some of those student tickets that don’t get used.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to start a rumor. Banks is enrolled in classes, remains on scholarship and UT continues to help him academically and support him personally. There is a path back, if both sides decide that's the right resolution. There was an internal breakdown on looping everyone in on the August incident, and the warrant issue wasn't handled the best way, either. A quick decision was made that, in hindsight, could have been handled better for all parties. Suspending Banks indefinitely would have given everyone time to get on the same page and review the entire situation with all the information available. It didn't happen that way, but the university didn't suspend him, so the door isn't closed.
So de1conley was butt hurt over nothing?

Baseball brings joy to my heart. Sitting in Dodger Stadium brings peace to my soul.

Losing in the DS after a 106-win regular season brings a kick to my nethers, so hard it left a hole in my soul where my nethers blasted through.

I haven’t watched another game since that Game 5. Hope I get past it in time to watch the World Series.
Well said...sounds like me in my hardcore Braves fandom days. I still love baseball, especially live baseball, but free agency and bad fundamentals has reeeeaaally ruined MLB for me. I miss the old days. When I lived in Clearwater/Largo I used to go to several games a year at the Trop, but I never could establish a real diehard connection the Rays. Like I said greed and the MLB system ruined it for me.

I'm a traditionalist but I'll concede your point on post season (extra practices). Hard to complain about not making a bowl or our record, but still want to play them.

Flip side - Daniel Lincoln aims for the goal posts instead of Cody's belly? Or Dobbs holds on to the ball and makes one of his usual scrambles in 2015? Oh dayum.

The fact the fb gods refuse us the little nod and wink - lucky bounce when playing Bama or Fl...
I'm convinced Hamilton wrote contracts with Satan using the same strategy he used when writing them for head coaches.
I don't care what it is, we need to pay off that buyout.

I’m excited but also concerned that Barnes is going against what made him successful here.

Most felt like he had transformed himself going away from the one and done model and Springer will be the 3rd maybe 4th one and done type recruit in the last year.
Come on. You might be the first person in history to complain about getting too many five stars.

Don't you just love reading these horror stories of all those who have been so abused on something they said. I mean who hasn't at one time said something and got roasted. Seems like I see 10 of these a day. I got "roasted" "abused" "torched" "waterboarded" etc ... etc...
Yes. And they don't ever repost the 99%of them that were totally wrong and the roasting was well deserved.

I think a lot of people overreacted on Banks, like they did on Thompson. Not condoning anything they did or said, but the structure and discipline of a team environment helps a lot of kids who need boundaries and guidance and won't get it elsewhere. Banks may not earn his way back, and Pruitt might decide that's not the best scenario for the team, but the rush to judgment was swift-- and too much of that was the media fanning the flames. We don't always get the full story from the media, and the opinion they shape isn't always right.

I agree...the Knoxville media is a wagonload of f'tards...

This is true. And the timing of when it happened with where the team was and after BT didn't help the situation.

I posted the same thing a few weeks back over in the BBF and there was a number of posters that agreed with me

I had the similar thought. I don’t think it is out of the realm of possibilities that he can coach up a 5-star too. There is history there. He’s not unfamiliar with it.

We can always go back to the 3 stars if it doesn’t work out 😜

JJ is no different today. Fierce competitor that wanted to place UT above himself. Was injured and Hoke said he couldn’t play against Vandy. Yeah he should’ve never went on IG with that post but guarantee you that he feels same way today. He loves Tennessee and his teammates. Hates to lose.
Hoke did him a favor. He was going down an Antonio Brown path. That Instagram stunt was him showing his azz...nothing about the team.

I just think it takes a minimum of 2 and most likely 3 years before a player really starts to thrive with his coaching style

I bet if you thought about it, your reasons are probably the same as mine...age has nothing to do with it.
The money in the game is unreal. The most plodding, utility man is working on a multimillion-dollar contract, and the stars are potential billionaires. It's kind of hard for your average fan do you have a personal connection to the sport.
