I agree, it’s like I knew someone would eventually do something about it... and they didn’t. Both coaches and players. Treated the game like a scrimmage and subbed way too many players in and out experimenting during the game. Credit ga state for finishing the fight.
I’d bet the bank Pruitt won’t have a team underprepared for a cupcake the rest of his career.

Pruitt has never been a head coach and yes, of course I lay it at Pruitt's feet. Dabo has been a coach a long time and had a good QB but l saw Trevor his freshman was better and took the hit and made the move.
It's my opinion that had it not been for the fans Pruitt would still be trotting JG out there and telling the fans it was our best shot at winning.
Just wait until it Pruitts first time of having to juggle the responsibility of having 2 very good QB's in the stable.
While it may appear nonsensical to you it is very clear to me.
Thankfully that is in the past and Maurer brings a whole new meaning to team work. The whole new attitude in the team is proof and the fans seen it a mile away as the saying goes.

Pruitt hasn’t been a HC before, true. Have you? I’m willing to bet he’s made a personnel decision or two before.

Coaches don’t acquiesce to fan’s demands. But I don’t believe at this point you’ll entertain any other reason for the switch and I’ll certainly not be convinced that fans decide who gets to play. So I digress.

nice atmosphere. shooting at night can be challenging but you lit it well. The music bed of dread is a bit over the top. I loved the double door open shot, that was slick. Subjectively I would have cut the whistle off and not had it over the end title. All in all fun stuff man!

Chaney and Fitz returning is a 100% a must. I have always heard it takes 3 years to start to see the strength and conditioning pay off, but I wouldn't know because I don't know the last time we had 3 years of the same strength coach.

I would like to know how involved Pruitt is with the defense still. I don't want Ansley to go anywhere either but at least that's what our head coach knows best and he has more connections on that side of the ball with other coaches and could always call plays himself worst case.

With the investments that have been made in both coordinators and strength and conditioning coach I don't think anyone will be able to take them from us.

Jordan has been running decisive as hell this year, he has improved, he gets what is there to get every time.

Maurer read was right but it was prior to the ball being snapped. He read man coverage on Jennings and Calloway. 2 defenders to cover 2 WR’s.

Maurer knew he had 1 on 1 coverage with Jennings. So that’s usually a win for UT because in single coverage Jennings wins that battle. Maurer made up his mind prior to the ball being snapped that he was throwing it to Jennings.

Maurer’s mistake was made after the ball was snapped, the corner was supposed to cover Calloway and the safety was to cover Jennings instead they both took Jennings leaving Calloway wide open.

Had Maurer waited for the play to develop a bit he gets an easy TD to Calloway and the rout is on.

Tbf if you watch in slow mo, the corner is watching Maurer and only breaks once he begins his throwing motion. MC and JJ were so close together he could easily make up the space. I don't think that corner was doubling JJ otherwise. If Maurer pump fakes him, yeah it might work. Not sure about an easy TD. MC just sat down on the 10. But he has a chance. If he lets the play develop normally without a fake, I don't know what happens.

Yeah the wife also didn't like the continued whistle for the title screen. Do you just not like the music or was it too loud? Did all that lighting with practical, just had a really fast cinema prime lens and shot wide open.

I'd take the over on 6 INTs if Maurer starts/plays every game the rest of the way. But I also think he could throw 20 TDs as well. The wildcard "X-factor" is that he may run for a few and will for sure keep more drives moving with his legs and willingness to run.

I think we absolutely have to win 3 of the next 6. Should not for any reason lose to Kentucky, UAB or Vandy not with the way the defense is playing. If we beat South Carolina in a similar fashion to how we controlled MSU then I think we're winning 6 and going bowling.

And everyone will spend the rest of the year discussing those 2 blown games to start the season.

Could definitely live with 20 total TDs and 6 more picks

Pruitt's comments about last year and keeping player relationships in good standing lead me to hope that kind of drop off is less likely this year.

We'll see.

Yeah I don't think he'll lose the team or anything like that. More curious if Miss St was an anomaly. But, if we even turned the corner 50% and found things that work, that's good enough down the stretch to win some games.
