That's right. And just like Pruitt said in the post game press conference..."Will we win every game like that? No. But it was the best way to WIN THIS GAME." That's coaching and adjusting. Nothing matters but W's. Not how or why. Just win. They did that.Crazy thing though...had Maurer made a bit better decisions and not got hurt. I have no doubt we could have hunt 30+ on them and really opened the game up.
Losing Maurer changed the game plan moving forward, and honestly I don't blame Pruitt & co at all for adjusting offensively to the game. The only way Miss. State was going to win that game is if they were able to tire out the defense and start making chunk gains, so the best way to prevent that is every drive on offense needs to eat as much clock as possible even if we end up punting. JG not missing any of the limited throws was big as well.
Yeah, two end zone interceptions prevented us from blowing it out.Crazy thing though...had Maurer made a bit better decisions and not got hurt. I have no doubt we could have hunt 30+ on them and really opened the game up.

Did you not watch the game Sunday? Mariota can’t hit a simple out route. He’s played much worse than the olineFigured Tannehill would be starting eventually. Not sure if it was all MM's fault...Oline has way under performed. Could be the OC, too? Red gardless z change had to be made. Won't matter though, Chargers own Titans.
I was at that gameThe Memphis St, GSU, etc. losses were the most "embarrassing" losses. Loss to GSU much less because this year's team is not very good anyway.
The 2001 SECCG loss to LSU is by far the "worse" UT loss for me. We have never recovered from that loss. Been a downhill spiral ever since. We would have played Miami in the National Championship game if we just manage to stop a QB draw in that game.
Next most painful loss to me was the 9-6 loss to Bama under Majors in the early 90's. We were a top 10 team playing an unranked Bama team and at least 2 touchdowns better than Bama that year. But Majors teams always puckered up big time against Bama. Took me a while to recover from that game.
Dude, they are coming into our state and plucking kids that we're in on, not to mention kids out of state. Quote whatever word you want too, doesn't change what's happening. But how is a&m winning the battles when we haven't lost really anything. We replaced Johnson with someone we like more and is better. Didn't really "lose" King when we have a better QB committed. So I'm asking you to explain how we are "losing" battles.
