I still don't like them and never will, but I do have to say they are more difficult to hate now than they were in the 90s and 2000s. The core of their team now is made up of guys they drafted and developed, and they were a very gritty team this year dealing with the injuries. Total opposite of their 90s and 2000s teams.
Jacoby Ellsbury hasn’t played since 2017 and made 22 million this year. They have a payroll over 200 million. Still the Yankees
 
The more I think about it, I don’t think it would be a smart business move to change the baseball back. Going from dudes chasing 50 HRs back to 30 won’t be very appealing

Yeah but it can’t be slow pitch softball ha. I don’t have time for Lil Tom La Stella to hit 35
