So you sexed her?I’ve had guns pulled on me by cops.
I was the closing bartender and the FOH Manager and I were having difficulty with the alarm when trying to leave. We called the alarm company and just hung out waiting for it to be resolved.
We sat on the ground behind the host stand near the entrance not thinking about the fact the doors were unlocked.
We heard someone coming in and jumped up startled. We surprised two officers and they pulled their guns and said freeze.
Her and I freaked out, but after everything was resolved we comforted each other.
Okay, serious question. If someone had a weapon on you (gun, knife, etc), you going down swinging, or would you fold? Dude on tv just got in the trunk and got shot. No way I'm crawling in the trunk, they may shoot me, but I'd be fighting first. I've actually had a gun pulled on me. Had a dude arrested for shoplifting in ky, cops let him go before my shift was even over. And of course he came back with a gun. I didn't even think, just started swinging, then rolled him up like a pretzel till the cops got there. Not saying " I'm so tough", though I am
. It's just not in me to not fight back.
I've never thought of that strategy, and it's honestly brilliant. I'll go down swinging, but being a little guy I'm keeping that in mindI’m going down with a fight. Statistically, your chances of survival once you are abducted goes down significantly.
20 years ago, I was a home health nurse. We had some dangerous areas to see patients. We had a policeman give an inservice on safety. He said if someone is attacking or trying to abduct you, you need to fight, kick, bite, act like a crazy insane person, scream and even go so far as to vomit, urinate and even defecate on yourself to make them leave you alone.
So, if pulling a gun doesn’t work, just drop a deuce and they will leave you alone![]()
When I was 14 years of age, I accompanied two new friends to a "hippy flop house." We were looking for a guy the other two knew. We walked into a room full of people, and a man standing next to a child in a crib pulled out a handgun, pointed it at me, and shouted, "Tell him to get his hands out of his pockets!" His pupils were dilated from drug use. I had no idea what he would see as I slowly removed my hands from my jacket pockets. He didn't shoot me. I backed out of the room, exited the building, and waited outside. It turns out, the guy my friends were seeking wasn't there.

I would honestly never want to shoot anybody. I carry, but have never had a situation where it even crossed my mind to pull my gun, thankfully. But I definitely would if I had to, and have shot at someone once trying to break in. I was mad though, I mean furious. My wife was pregnant, and the guy knew someone was home and tried breaking in. I shot at him running away, which the police frown uponI've had some run ins back when I was young and also in my former occupation. I will tell you this, sometimes the least likely person will fold/freak under pressure. Takes a certain type to plant their feet and do their shooting.

One instance in particular the person I was with freaked completely out. He was a lifelong friend and proven to be a tough guy. We were talking outside a closed gas station around midnight, a bunch of hooligans rolled up on bikes and pulled guns, it got dicey from there. He was crying like a baby during the robbery (they had him on his knees on the other side of my truck). They fired a weapon and all hell broke loose. They scattered and I saw his car back out a few spaces down and take off the same direction. I thought they shot him and took his car.
When I saw he was not down, I realized the bastard had jumped in his car and chased them into the neighborhood. I ended up getting in my truck and followed. When I turned the corner he had his passenger window down driving slow and shooting at them with them returning fire directly into the car. Thinking he was about to die, my dumb ass pull in front of his car and I ended up out of the truck and engaged. Lord be my witness as soon as I engaged he drove off and left me boots on the ground in a really, really bad spot.
I will stop there, but he went back to the store and called the local PD. Let that sink in... he pursued, extending the crime scene after they had disengaged (frowned upon by PD). He drew me into this ****-show, left me in a active engagement (I ended up expending 7 rounds before getting out of there) and then comes back and calls the local cops. He caused all sorts of legal issues and red tape even though the engagement at the gas station was a good shoot.
He literally had a nervous breakdown and saw a shrink for over a year due to this event. He has not talked to me since we were in court for the perps (20yrs ago). I was told by family he blamed me for being there and us striking up a conversation that put him at risk. WTF kind of weeping, Emo, safe-space BS is that?
Be Safe,
