Keep Maurer on the bench let JG play and run out the clock as fast as possible. Get the game over ASAP. I HATE playing Bama every year. It's bs
If they took Alabama off the schedule it wouldn't hurt my feelings. By the time that happens the two programs will then probably be going in different directions.

Good morning, VN. I have a favor to ask. I have been logging on via mobile for some time and it is either impossible or harder to see how many likes you have on that device. This phenomenon caused me to sail past 20,000 likes without noting the milestone. I think that I have a solution, however. I am going to ask the posters who give me tons and tons of likes to go back and unlike about 1033 of my posts so that we can all celebrate this milestone together. Therefore, @Jack Burton , @Kingston Vol , @vols 30 @BigOrangeVols @BruinVol @Catbone @mccrackb since you all routinely like so many of my posts, this burden is on you. TIA.

Congrats on your accomplishment, I'll do my part.

I agree we need to try to run out the clock. I hope Chaney brings that same game plan that we had when we played Bama and had a chance to win with a field goal back when Kiffin was the coach.

I disagree that we shouldn't play Mauerer. We look better with Mauerer and you are sending an awful message to the team if you don't play him when he is healthy. We can try to shorten the game with Mauerer the same we can with JG. We just need to be smart and secure points with him in the redzone and not try to do too much (don't throw from the 5 yard line).

They're young, but talented at linebacker, just like we are. I would go right at Christian Miller with quick, RPOs. Run the ball, quick slants and screens, and run the clock down to a couple second each play to shorten the game. We don't have the horses to win a shoot out with Tua and the four horsemen they have at WR.

Starting to think a rebuild just takes longer. Frost is struggling at Nebraska and Pruitt is still trying to get his feet under him.
For whatever reason, maybe it’s just not as easy as it was in the past
I mean we’ve been rebuilding since Kiffin so for us it is a matter of getting a coach/ recruiter and let them build. If Pruitt had come after the 16 season I bet we’d be much further along. We let butch tank the 17 season and his last class mixed with turnover put us back at square one.

25 limit has to have a lot to do with it. Plus he could only take 23 last year. Further the early signing period in his first class hurt him as well. I still think he lands Cade Mays and perhaps a few others if there were no early period in that first class. But things seem to be improving now. We also seem to have found us a QB, which is the biggest reason why we only have 2 wins right now.

How did you misspell our starting QB's name 3 times?

Look, I’m not saying we don’t have some lunatic fans who think we should win national championships every year, but these MSU folks are something else. It’s like they forgot Mullen would have several crappy rebuilding years before a couple good ones, and he lost to South Alabama two years after being ranked #1. Then before that... *crickets*. And before they can finish saying “Jackie Sherrill” I say “NCAA violations.” Being a social scientist who teaches down here is like getting to see inner workings of a cult first hand.
I should show you this MSU Ducks Unlimited collegiate club groupme after every game. It's mind-numbing at times. They want Moorhead gone yesterday. Poked fun at his daughter crying in Neyland while MSU fans were screaming at him.

Current forecast in Tuscaloosa Saturday night is 60 with 31% chance of thunderstorms. Supposed to start some light showers late in the afternoon with off-and-on rain/storms through the night.

Could be interesting....

It is probably harder due to the 25 limit as I’ve posted before.

It’s also possible we’re comparing these guys to Saban which is an impossible standard.

We might look back and say Pruitt’s biggest issue was not running off the “bad apple” players as soon as possible.

Saban's probably already thinking of Moorhead as his replacement of Sark.
