Attended the game Saturday. Most fun I've had in the General's House in a long while. Heading back up for the South Carolina game hoping for a similar result. Hard to believe a bowl game may actually be attainable considering the extremely pouros beginning to the season. Would love to see the all orange once again in 2 weeks. Seemed to bring some good vibes in the direction of the Volunteers.

Agree completely, so hard to label it a “fluke” the Vols were down by as many as 15 at one point and I’m not sure they had the lead in the second half. Another I’ve heard people say is they “would’ve beaten BYU if their confidence wasn’t shot from Week 1.” That argument would actually held more water if the Vols didn’t lead for 95% of the game. Hard to make either of those arguments. They happened. Just have to move forward.
This is a dumb thought for one big reason. It is asinine to say we even played a game. It was treated with less prep than a practice scrimmage, and even less effort.

I gaurandamtee you if they play that team again right now we blow them out of the stadium.

Does anybody here really believe differently? I don't care what the score was.

That is actually an intriguing thought..🤔 And no, I never thought of it.
With him being undersize for offense I'm surprised they haven't tried to make the switch. It doesn't seem like he is currently one of the first 3 lineman off the bench for offense, so I don't think it would hurt to give it a try. I'm not sure if he is big enough for DT and I don't know if he moves well enough for DE.

That is what I thought at first too, but he seems to move well when he pulls. That is all I have to really go on.

I don't think he has the lower body strength to play as a DT...so DE would have to be it..kinda like Bumphus. I wonder if the staff has ever thought of it, or maybe he just doesn't have a defensive mindset. 🤷‍♂️

EXCELLENT playcalls by both Detroit and GB here at the end. Detroit tried to give up the TD and GB rb was heady enough to sit down rather than taking the TD.
