I totally agree regarding Maurer. He is our best chance to win games this year. I have no delusions. I hope JG plays Saturday, but just to protect BM. The only time I recall JG being selfish was the pouting in the GT game, over two years and 28 or so games ago. ESPN really made it a huge deal, and while it was not good, they really made him look bad. If we were down, do you really think Shrout would have been out there? He has played very briefly this year and has not looked like he is ready at all. I think he has the potential to be better than JG, but right now, he is not better. It's not even close and that is saying something because JG has been pretty bad also. I respect your opinion, but, by the same token, do not have to agree with it and if I do disagree, just like you and many others, I am going to responde. I think we can all say we want to win all of our games and right now, BM, is the best chance to do that. Go Vols!As a fan, I have the right to criticize who I want when I want. I pay my contributions to the team, sacrifice time to watch them play. I will never be the athlete JG is, I’ll never be in the position he is in. He has been a great supporter of BM and recently stepped up as a leader. But, I do not think for one second he is the best QB on our team. Do I hate JG? No, absolutely not. He took a beating giving his all however, he has been selfish before and has put hisself before the team. Our Freshman QB picked up on a corner Blitz Saturday where JG has not his whole career. To me, that speaks volumes. But it is what it is. JG gave us the best chance to manage the game to a win Saturday. If we was down, he wouldn’t have played & that’s a fact. I do, however stand behind him when he trots out there for the better or worst but I will forever say “here we go” everytime he drops back. So take it for what it’s worth @drvenner
I don’t think they’re good by any means - especially compared to SEC talent.
I see nothing that changes my mind. I am dropping it.Go back and watch it in slow motion promise you’ll agree.pushing someone off out of celebration and shrugging someone off to get them off of you is two completely different things...again my opinion.go back.watch JG and you tell me what you see.
Also after the touchdown,Maurer was the only QB celebrating with all of the wide receivers,OL and Some Defensive players including Tyler Byrd after his catch,on the sideline and there is a whole video of that
This is Starting QB JG

Very good point. We really don’t know anything about this team through 6 games. We’re not very good - but to what degree varies wildly from week to week.Need to remind ourselves that this team has been anything but consistent. We shouldn't expect to win 3 or 4 games and we shouldn't expect to lose them either.
There is a lot to look forward to and be hopeful about for sure. I'm just going to take it one game at a time and I hope our team does the same.

But unlike Kentucky and Vanderbilt, those UAB players are used to winning football games.
I don’t think we’re good so I think all these games are going to be close. Something about being used to pulling them out makes me a little more scared of UAB than those others.
That was awesomeKnox media trying to bait Pruitt into a headlining quote over Maurer playing a couple snaps more and not pulling him...
Pruitt- I mean there's a lot of guys hitting, running into one another. I guess we could stop the game and check everyone out but that may take a while. I don't know if anybody's got time for that....
He must hate life every time he gets in front of these clowns
