It's mostly people that are just relieved JG isn't starting . I don't think either one is the starter next year. We have to hope Bailey lives up to the hype

If you change the names on their stat lines from Saturday people would be trying to give Maurer the heisman and hoping JG burns in hell

BUT because of the names of who did what, Maurer is the second coming and the only reason we won is the “lead” he built that JG was able to sustain.

It’s a joke. Maurer has some energy and a little athleticism but I could make a case that he SUCKS significantly easier than he’s even average. There’s no need to do that, for many reasons most of which he’s a true freshman, but the crowning is embarrassing.

He is 22/48 for 364 yards with 2 TDs 4 INTs and 2 fumbles. Put all the orange kool aid on that you want, it’s not good.

He can certianly stand to improve, no doubt. However, from what I can tell, the energy he brings to the rest of the team seems to have made a bigger difference on the field than the quality of his play. The guys seem pumped to have him out there whereas it seemed like they didn't give a **** when JG was starting. As for the crowning, it's like Verc said...most UT fans are so starved for anything positive that literally anything above terrible is cause for celebration at this point.

I get that. I don’t think either point is justifiable but I understand where they’re coming from. The two picks weren’t “true freshmen” mistakes. They were middle school mistakes. People are talking savior of the program and Peyton Manning. I’m just trying to see a 2H completion and for him to not be outscored by ultra conservative JG against Ms St. The commentary on Saturday game is hilarious.
