Such a great game today. My first in 6 years. So many takeaways. Maurer gives me hope for the offense. I wonder how much of our defense was improvement and talent vs a poor MSU QB/offense

Edit: our LBs did much better with RPOs and picking up crosses/drags across the middle. We got burned when HT was ejected on their TD drive but looked better. We got to the QB a lot which was great. Run defense (minus QB scrambles was elite). We had great outside leverage on the outside runs

I'm between 4-8 and 5-7

We'll get to 6-6, I'm saying 7-5 if Maurer stays healthy. The O line is blocking better, the defense is tackling better, the WRs aren't dropping passes, we just have to stay healthy.

I think our interior DLmen are finding their way to be somewhat productive which is letting our talented DBs play more man which they were recruited for. That and Maurers ability to make and extend plays with his legs is hopefully going to save this season.

I thought that was crazy as well. It was clear Chaney didn't trust Guarantano to throw down field.

No the defense was dominant that game. Miss St run defense is atrocious. Put those together and Chaney told miss st to try and stop the run
