2020 Presidential Race

Any chance she could ride that Obama's Change and first female POTUS glass ceiling bump to victory?
I honestly don't care if its a woman that makes the white house. The policies Warren "Has a plan for" are not anything i would support even if Man or woman. I know some people live for that but it's not important to me.

We need to find someone intelligent with absolutely no interest in being President and force them to take the job. That's about the only way we end up with a POTUS worth a damn IMO.

I've thought that for a long time. The worst person we can pick to be president is a guy who actually wants the job. Nobody in his right mind would go through what it takes to become president or any other elected office.

I honestly don't understand why this woman feels the need to twist the facts...her family was middle income her dad was both an army flight instructor who worked for a time as a janitor....I worked in factories while going to college but those jobs don't define me...the Cherokee claims based on family tales only and now I was fired for being pregnant when board of education minutes say she was unanimously voted another year

Rasmussen is the equivalent of me posting a poll from Mother Jones showing Trump with a -574% approval rating.

Most of the numbers I've seen for African-Americans supporting Trump are in the 10-15% range from actual reputable polls.

There's no way Mother Jones has Trump at -574%

He's easily in the five figure negative numbers.

Pete released his plan this morning for lowering prescription drug prices, titled Affordable Medicine for All.

Some highlights from his campaign website:

  • Cut out-of-pocket drug spending for seniors on Medicare by at least 50% by the end of Pete’s first term, including an out-of-pocket cap on prescription drug costs of $200 per month.
  • Cap out-of-pocket spending on prescription drugs under $250 per month for everyone choosing public coverage under Pete’s Medicare for All Who Want It plan.
  • Make co-payments for generic drugs $0 for people with low incomes insured by the public plan, Medicare, and Medicaid.
  • Reduce median annual out-of-pocket drug spending for middle-class Americans on Medicare Part D living with cancer by at least $5,1007 and by at least $2,000 for those living with certain immune disorders, such as rheumatoid arthritis or multiple sclerosis.8
  • Guarantee that no one living with diabetes dies from rationing insulin due to cost.
  • Help end the opioid epidemic by dramatically reducing the cost of naloxone, a drug used to reverse opioid overdoses, and other medicines used to treat substance abuse.

As far as paying for the plan, from the white paper (link below):

As millions of Americans struggle to pay for drugs, pharmaceutical companies are getting richer and richer. Today, pharmaceutical companies are among the most profitable companies in the entire health industry.28 Pete will increase the annual Branded Prescription Drug Fee on drug manufacturers and importers that was established by the Affordable Care Act.29 The revenue collected by this fee will be used to help fund Americans’ access to affordable prescription drugs.

Corporate health care has prioritized profits over people, and so have politicians in Washington. Congress has actually barred the federal government from negotiating with pharmaceutical companies to make drugs more affordable for seniors. That prohibition remains in place today. We are the largest purchaser of drugs in the world. Applying Walmart logic to this business, we should be paying the lowest prices, not the highest. Pete will work for American families and employers by empowering the federal government to negotiate down the price of drugs with pharmaceutical companies. The federal government will negotiate on behalf of people covered by Medicare and the public plan.25 The negotiated rates will be available to other public plans, including Medicaid, and private plans.

She must have been only 1/1,024 pregnant.

Pharmaceutical companies are making bank because people are taking pills as opposed to eating healthy or exercising. The government cant fix the problem of ****** people.

That's not what the proposal is about at all. It is about making needed medications more affordable, starting with insulin, HIV medication, cancer treatments, and other life-saving drugs.

Your issue of over-prescribing medications is not invalid. Pete isn't trying to fix that, well except for opiod addiction. Which is also included in the full plan.

The pharmaceutical companies aren’t gonna take a financial hit. It’ll be like all other welfare where the working class will pay for the government to hand out freebies to others. Insurance costs will skyrocket and everyone else won’t be able to afford their own meds. Yay pandering Pete.....Barry 2.0

If they refuse to negotiate on drug prices, there is a 65% tax on the pharmaceutical companies per quarter, increasing by 10% per quarter until they do so. It will absolutely hit them. With caps on monthly out of pocket for drug costs for consumers, it does the direct opposite of what you say.
