I think them keeping playing JG and gassing him up in the media is more about they don’t want him to pack it in and bolt just yet bc they are so low on shrout.
Thought this yesterday before the game but everyone was so fired up that our coaches were idiots for mentioning playing JG.

He leaves and Maurer doesn't come back after that massive hit? Then we're less than halfway thru the season with 1 scholarship QB.
Same for why they let him try to throw a TD in garbage time. We lost, they didn't care about getting a meaningless score, they had other intentions.
There's a reason for what they're doing and it makes perfect sense if people would calm down for a minute.

1. After seeing all the b****ing online, I didn't expect this. Our crowds have been awesome!

2. Just as important, I understand that he is being a true leader, and the players are rallying around him.

3. Just wait till next year. Hopefully, it will get better this year, but it is hard to expect much (enough).

4. We always seem to do well against UGA. I think they are in the same class as those others, maybe not better than, but close enough to be able to beat any of them on a given day. Florida is obviously better than predicted, especially with their QB upgrade.

5. I think Jordan got most of his yards on that last drive. It was tough going, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

6. Part of the necessary youth movement.

10. If if's and buts were candy and nuts...I get it. We lost by 29 points...but you take away the last 2 minutes of the first half, and the blitz/fumble/ref interference/td with 4:39 to go in the game, and we lose 22-14, having a chance to tie it with under 5 minutes to go in the game.

I have 2 primary observations:

1. We have a youth movement going on right now. I think the (diehard) fans and players can feel it. After we lose to Bama, things may really start looking up.
2. We are where we have been for the last decade, for the most part. We now have a pretty good team of starters, but we don't have the quality depth we need. It is coming, but we are not there yet.
3. (I know I said 2) As our DLine shows the most, we have got to continue to spend extra time in the weight room. That is the only way we are going to be able to go toe to toe with the elite teams that we find ourselves up against in the SEC.
1 thing. Of the social media warriors that are all "big donors" or "season ticket holders" and gonna shut this program down, very few actually do anything more than buy a hat from Wal-Mart every 3 years.

'Guy' bragging about not supporting the team, probably never did.

We have a ton of those and they seem to be the loudest

The thing about defense is the calls aren't coming until the offense is set. After that I think Ansley is calling 3 different plays (so the signs aren't stolen) and which play is the real play is different each down. Some of the defensive players *cough* secondary and slime *cough* are jawing too much to get the initial plays call and miss which call is the correct play.

What does everyone know or think about Caylin Newton?
Sec talent? Could have 2 yrs eligibility left.
I know he played at Howard but he’s responsible for over 3,000 yards of offense. We could use a play maker at WR

Yeah and Pruitt has said before a big issue with our defense is that the defensive linemen don’t understand which gap they’re supposed to be in on every play. Which is why you see the linebackers screaming at them to move over.

Kirby with that TO about a minute remaining on 4th and goal. Blitzing the hell out of our Freshman QB up big and knocking him out of the game. Technically not dirty but I really wish bad things on that team.
He had money on the game

Can't speak for everyone but I will speak for myself on this issue. If the roles were reversed and we did that to Georgia up 36-14 late in the fourth, I'd have no problem with it. In fact most of our fans would love it. You don't like it? Do something about it. The mindset that Georgia team currently has is what Pruitt is trying to instill in our guys. Dominate your opponent for 60 minutes and try to make them quit.

No big deal.....we have done it to. It‘s what makes a rivalry. Our day is coming and this will go in the memory bank. Let it go and move on.

Was last night the turning point?? Don’t know BUT what I saw last night was everyone seemed to pulling the rope in the same direction. JG was engaged in the offensive huddles, players were hyped and dhippy and the fans.....well we are Tennessee and we will ome out and support!!

Our time is coming. AS I have mentioned several times, sit back and enjoy the ride. We have too much going for us from administration down to the coahcing staff and an AD who loves this place and is will ing to spend the $ ( Barnes / Chaney / Ansley / Nieds inncrese) to INSURE this happens.

Now..... GO BRAVES !!!!!!

Anybody else feel like the game would have been a lot closer if pass interference was called on the deep pass to Callaway lat in the second quarter?

We at least would have had a much easier FG and very possibly a TD with how Maurer had been playing. We also would have used up most of clock.

Instead...no call, we miss the long FG and Georgia drives down for a TD. That was the turning point in the game to me and a bad no call.
If I remember the call correctly I was ok with that call

Completely agree. I hope we find a way to take all our frustration out on state. We better come out and smack them around because they are beatable if we play like last night and fix a few things. Make state quit and show the fans we aren’t done yet.

Fromm was impressive.

Fromm is good, but just like Brady, just about anyone can do what he did last night when there is literally ZERO pressure on him. He stood flat-footed in the pocket the entire night and was never pressured. He just waited and picked which WR to throw to... JG could have done most of that...
