I knew it!! Everyone in the program is not rowing in the same direction. Stupid Haslams are behind all of this...guarantee it! We will never have nice things anymore in the football program. Might as well accept that we will most likely never be competitive again as long as this power struggle continues.

As long as this power struggle continues behind the scenes with the heavy hitting boosters (Haslams are responsible for this, IMO), the ship will continue to sink. They are going to do everything possible to make sure Pruitt (and Fulmer) fail in resurrecting the program. I wish @Atlanta VOL could come in here and confirm this is what is happening.

i dont disagree but, i doubt Haslam made Gaurantano suck.

The oline is better.

Probably wouldn’t of been an issue if he hadn’t been messing with her for 4 months. You know if kids just learned to leave stuff alone there wouldn’t of been an issue.

I have been liking many of your posts recently, as I have had the same thoughts. Sitting here this morning catching up with all of the bad stuff with Banks and thinking that we are not rowing in the same direction on the Hill. There are power players (Haslams) trying to regain full control by destroying all chances for Pruitt to be successful. In the meantime, they are also destroying kids lives and don’t care. As I sat here I thought...we desperately need a huge upset win to change the narrative for Pruitt. Won’t happen probably, but I might shed a tear or 2 if it did, because I think Pruitt is intentionally getting screwed over. I think he’s probably a great coach, but he is trying to row upstream into a 30 MPH head wind. It’s sad everyone who is supposed to love all things Tennessee can’t come together for the common good of making Tennessee great again and swallow their pride.

Not talking about that, but things like this stuff with Banks and Bryce. I mean Bryce got suspended 3 games for a verbal argument with his girlfriend. Bill Norton at Georgia gets a DUI which may have resulted in innocent deaths, yet he’s suspended one game and we hear nothing else. Something doesn’t add up.

We need drunk Pruitt challenging Richt to a fight to go after Haslam if that weasel has anything to do with this.

when people don't feel good, they naturally look for the negative. attitude around Knoxville as it pertains to football is one of apathy, and, in some extreme examples a sort of sadness. People are hurting (we'd never admit it), because of a game we really have no stake in.

The run in with law isn't new to UT football.

You hate to assume anything here but you can be pretty sure she is not innocent either. Maybe the way to go in the future is to automatically kick both individuals out of school. Verbal abuse can be just as bad as physical abuse, let’s start holding all parties accountable

I got to be on the road today. I could possibly make it back to watch the second half, but I’m not going to hurry. If I were free I would probably turn it on, but I’m just meh with making any kind of priority.

Anybody else not making an effort to watch?

I figure I am on the downhill of my life in years and God has only give me so many Tennessee football Saturdays left.

I ain’t missing any for the world

I hate this for banks. It makes him look bad but more importantly it makes the football team look bad. I wish they'd have handled this differently but we don't know all the circumstances surrounding this. We don't know if this was just the final straw because of prior incidents. Regardless, he's gone and it's time to move on.

From simply a football perspective, this really isn't all that of a big deal. Sure he was a decent player with a lot of potential but he was still learning his position. I seriously doubt he would have made a significant difference tonight. We will be fine without him.

I dont know the time line and everything, but I think it's the harrassment for months and having several incidents that went against him. I'm all for giving kids second chances and mentoring them. Players need to show they are learning and growing with the second chance.
