I don’t think his actions were all that bad. Sickening yes but don’t warrant a dismissal

Honestly if he’d been suspended for a game I think the videos would never have been released but it appears to me because the appearance was he was getting off scott Free the videos came out.

If more had been early he would still be on the team imo

I’m not trying to make light of what JB said. But there is a cold slice of truth you just served here sir. I hate to say it but kids JB’s age talk like that. They glorify Rap and street life, even though when they are from the suburbs or a good upbringing. “I been thugging ” means a whole lot of things. Many of our players so stupid things on Instagram daily on their live feeds.
Wish it was different but that’s reality. The media **** storm is what made this a dismissal. It’s the last thing Fulmer or Pruitt need during the rebuild.

My opinion?
Despite Fulmers best efforts. We are not all in the boat going the same direction still like the big boy programs we want to be like.

He’s become toxic, and everything points to future problems.

Can you imagine the coverage if we treated this lightly and he assaults/sexually assaults someone next? That ends coaching careers

From that perspective, the 8/24 banks video (just released) looks too similar (not to the 9/15 Banks arrest) but to the BT case. That would be the alleged pattern that admin might intervene on? CJP was standing by Banks this afternoon. we dont know anything about banks behavior since 9/15. Im guessing the sh-t went down when Cpf had to give admin heads up per the tmz video from 8/24 about to break and they were worried about the pattern as involves player treatment of women. this is all speculation, except the dates.

I'm sorry, but that's weak IMO. Inappropriate? Yes. Worthy of being kicked off the team? I don't think so. IF he had actually smacked her, I would understand. That's assault. But young people make stupid statements like that all the time. Hell, you could probably follow that girl and find her saying stupid stuff as well. It's college. People act like fools. He didn't actually act. We have no idea if he had any true intention to act. It just seems weird that we've had athletes actually DO far worse with little to no punishment while Banks gets kicked off the team over words.

I get it and don’t disagree. I just think if he’d been suspended for the first game for this he’d still be on the team

It’s the surprise of the video release that forced Pruitts hand because he hadn’t done any damn thing before

Hoping like heck that Pruitt and company can withstand this and somehow manage to win 4 or 5. If folks think it's bad now, get walloped by UGA tomorrow and go 2-10 or 3-9. I've been behind Pruitt 100% but sooner or later he has to build some sort of momentum whether it be on the field, in recruiting, or both.

I'd be lying if I didn't admit that the BT case is exactly what crossed my mind and to me that case is far more serious than Banks who I see as more of a loudmouth punk even with the new tape. Fact is women are far more likely to be abused by a bf or husband that says such things than an acquaintance although that obviously does happen (see below). That said, Banks is on tape acting like a racist, sexist, moron while BT isn't.

Meanwhile an OU player breaks a woman's jaw and a MSST player beats a woman. Both also ON TAPE also but hey, they were respectful to law enforcement, said the right things, and winning at the time and both were stars so it's ok... We live in a world of messed up priorities.
