Alabama players were literally arrested for FELONY STOLEN WEAPONS CHARGES....never missed a game, and charges were dropped because the judge said they had to practice out in the sun with no air conditioning....Knoxville media runs our program into the ground..i would pull all their access to the program.

It's PR. That's all it is. The whole situation is unbelievable and now UT just wants it to go away. There are a lot of so-called grown-ups, reporters, and power players that were playing their own little game with this. Banks was just collateral damage.

This is a weak move. You either do it earlier or hell or high water stand behind him.

Yep. Either get out in front of it and say we're going to try and help this kid learn from his mistakes and are putting checks in place to get him on the right track... or cut him loose after the arrest, before the video is released. That would have looked proactive and they could have spun it. Naive to think it wouldn't come out, with the intense negative scrutiny this program gets. Especially on the heels of the Thompson and George incidents.

Banks should be gone. The traffic ticket was stupid and should have been overlooked. However, it looks like part of a bigger pattern. Threatening women and what not.

Wish him well, but this is for the best. It’s unfortunate for many reasons.
