of course. we wanted Dobbs after we saw that display against bama in garbage time.

then promptly wanted Dormady when we figured out Dobbs can't throw.

then wanted JG.

then wanted Chryst.

now want Maurer.

I think most people just want “not JG”. Hopefully everyone knows there will be growing pains with Maurer, but at this point it’s he or Shrout. There is literally no reason to play JG. None.

Ultimately JG is done here. He is not cutting it at QB and is actively costing us games. You need your QB to be a leader and he wilts during the games.

The Vols worked on a few different sub packages, and perhaps the most notable lineup had one down lineman and three outside linebackers, two of them being freshmen Quavaris Crouch roaming around like a more traditional linebacker and Roman Harrison off the edge opposite Darrell Taylor.

we need a pass rush, and i'd wager between Crouch, Harrison, Taylor and HT and bituli, you at least get some speed and athleticism out there.....and get 'em all walking around and the O line with no clue on who to block, who's coming, coming from where etc...2 down linemen....5 LB's and 4 DBs....

the best asset we have on defense is some speed and athleticism wiht guys like Sham, Crouch, Mcollough, Harrison etc...so use it even if htey don't know everything they need to, they can all know to get to the ball, or QB...whichever one they can get to first.

lol.

im thinking the call for htat defense could be "release the hounds"....

I hate it but I think he gives us no chance to win more than the uab game. JG regaining his confidence of a year ago is our only shot to win 4/5 more games imo
