In my opinion, the true issue is not related to Banks at all. This is a 19 year old kid getting pulled over for a traffic violation and running his mouth while it happens. I think we’ve all been there in some form or fashion. I know I had a similar issue at 18.

The story - at least as far as I can glean it from national media reaction - has been 1) “lol Pruitt doesn’t understand warrants” and 2) he attempted to get Banks out of an arrest because it works that way in other cities and 3) he became a little childish at the end when he realized his attempt wasn’t going to work.

Now, I’ve seen no one call for him to be fired or suspended or anything like that. That would be a comical overreaction.

What I have seen - and this is being exacerbated by the results on the field - are questions like: “is Jeremy Pruitt totally in over his head?” and “was he ready to be the head coach at a major program?” And all those are valid questions we had before this incident was made public.

I decide that well, maybe, I jumped the gun and need to read the article. Wow, that article was a real eye-opener, let me tell you. After reading it, it changed my mind. I now believe it is even more of a non-story than I thought it was to begin with. And, I am proud of our coach for standing up for his player. I don't fault the officer. He was doing his job and explained it to CJP very well. The fact that there are media in town who believe this is newsworthy should tell anyone everything that they need to know about how little they care about the program that is responsible for them having sustainable employment.

Fulmer had a liaison to work with local law enforcement. His name was Sam Brown. It was Kippy Brown's brother. Many things were smoothed over back in the day. Not sure if Sam is still over there or if they have someone else like that or not.

Sadly, yes JG still gives us a fighter's chance Imo and is our best, albeit still not good, chance. Look no further than the uga game last year. UGA had a couple lucky fumbles bounce right back up into their hands, one for a TD. The other by true FR Fields. And if people remember, UGA could only spark their run game by using Fields. We were giving them some fits and hung in a 12 pt game for awhile. With an improved run game, maybe we can hang around again.

But Maurer vs uga's D scares me. Would just like a simplified plan for JG of a run-heavy attack with PA passes DEEP to our big receivers.

Banks is a kid and what he said about where he's from they shoot at cops, that's probably not far from the truth. Pruitt was pissed he was on the phone in the middle of the night for a traffic violation.

Oh and hot take, cops are paid to put up with crap. They are in positions of power. They don't have to be cops and for every good one there is one that isn't.

Who f'n cares about any of it. Woke culture is the worst.

I like to look at “woke culture” as people like us who don’t give a **** about this video or what banks said or Pruitt being pissy about it. KPD and UTPD are **** shows and they can EAD

And you honestly think JG won’t throw 3 picks? Shoot he’s liable to throw 3 picks and fumble 3 times

Not to add to this, just that I was thinking something similar last week. If you go back, he was playing well up until that massive hit he took against Mizzou. He looked totally lost vs Vandy. And the same this year.

Of course none of this would explain his practice self vs game self.

RPO’s, Read Option, and Speed Option to utilize his athleticism while trying to keep him out of 3rd and long passing situations.

It absolutely happens everywhere else. But just like paying players, it only makes you look bad when you get caught saying it out loud.

Have you watched JG play this year? He is nowhere near what he was last year, he has regressed exponentially. Maurer is our best chance of at least scoring double digits IMO just because they don't have film on him and he's mobile. They'll corner blitz JG into a coma before the 1st quarter comes to a close...

Lot of "max protect" with two receivers running routes to make it simple.

Don’t think we’ll be able to run laterally on this defense. Pound the middle, limit possessions, occasional play action.
