On Simonton and Price saying JG starts today in the video they posted, I think it might have been filmed Monday. Simonton has the same shirt on in today’s video as he did with Hubbs in Monday’s video. It is possible they recorded everything Monday, and then they release different videos as the week goes.

being that Simonton is a Gator/Dawg its possible he just goes all week without showering or changing clothes also. lmao jk I really like Jessie I think he does a good job for the most part.

JMO but JG gives us the best chance to be competitive. If he gets off to a good start he could pull off a competitive game .

i'm still gonna be surprised if it's not JG to start the game. could be wrong. but i'm in the "believe it when i see it" camp on that one....

not sure if it's a good/bad thing either way to be honest. i don't think JG can go out and win it, and i sure don't think BM can either. i think either one will make mistakes and turn it over....

so, in the end, i guess it doesn't really matter. at least if BM gets out there, we'll be excited for a few minutes......lol.

So there is actually zero reasons why JG should start is what you are saying.

i can't think of a good reason ANY of them should start....lol....but somebody's gotta go out there, so usually coaches go with the guy that has the most experience, so i'll defer to that until proven otherwise.

Not sure the exact situation here, but about 11 years ago I got a speeding ticket that I paid that ended up with me sitting in jail overnight. I paid the ticket to the clerk, well before the court date and with the payment, the court date was supposed to go away. For whatever reason (incompetence) the clerk didn't properly enter it into the system. Well that court date came and of course I didn't go because I paid the ticket. About 2 weeks went by without any indication or notice something was wrong, until about 11:30 PM on a Thursday night I get a knock at my door. It was the Sheriff's Department to arrest me on the bench warrant. I offered to show the sheriff deputy my receipt for the ticket but they said it would have to be dismissed by a judge. So I had to sit in jail overnight until the court opened in the morning. Showed the judge my receipt and I didnt even get an apology. I asked the intake officer why they would knock on my door with a bench warrant for FTA at 11:30 at night and he told me that they will get funding from the State for 2 days since I will have to be there overnight because the court wouldn't release me until the morning. I didnt say the things Banks said, but I certainly understand his frustrations.

That's terrible. They also go to serve warrants at night because people are home then. Sorry to hear that.

when they say EVERYONE is on the same page and pulling in the same direction in places like Tuscaloosa and Athens, they mean EVERYONE.........................

Yep. Short of a felony or assault type incident Knoxville police and press need to get on board. This traffic ticket business is stupid.

and i think that's frustrating for CJP. he's not used to that. i'm sure in Tallahassee it was that way...we all know what the story was down there with famous jameis....and you're telling me there's campus police or city/county police in the state of alabama that are going to mess with Bama football players on something like this? puhlease....lol.

now, when he was in Athens...i don't think it was that way, and he was frustrated by that..i think that's pretty well known, but i'd say since Kirby has gotten there, that's changed a bit.

i tihnk it's pretty apparent that it is NOT like that in Knoxville, and i think that probably does piss him off. just another obstacle to deal with.

and i'm not saying any of that is good or bad, just that it "is".......

First possession on offense I feel like you gotta start Maurer.

You roll out with JG and Georgia isn't going to be confused in the least, they know him and what we'll do with him out there. If you roll out Maurer you're at least going to force them to play a bit of catch-up.

Doesn't mean they won't be able to stop us, but it forces them to guess a bit with play calling since they won't have much game film on what the offense looks like with him running it.

I don't even care about the video. Yeah, Banks shouldn't have said half the things he did in the video, but he is a kid. Also, Pruitt didn't do anything wrong. Get over it.
I swear some of you guys have a sad and miserable life, whining about every little thing.
Crazy how this place blows every story 10x out of proportion like the whole world is talking about it and UT football is going down because of these instances. Bryce thing all over again. Didn't hear a peep about it outside of here and it got 5 seconds of play during the florida game. Boom, gone, no biggie.

Again, CTE symptoms do not show up in people for several years after continual head trauma.

Don’t get too hung up on specifically “CTE”. You can have cognitive issues from multiple concussions. I would just think of it in terms of repeated brutal hits and what that has done or could be doing to his brain functions.

But if the docs are clearing him then maybe it’s nothing.

So, after hearing about the Banks video and dismissing it and refusing to click on the article because I believed it was a total non-story, @David Ubben comes on the Sports Animal to talk about it. I decide that well, maybe, I jumped the gun and need to read the article. Wow, that article was a real eye-opener, let me tell you. After reading it, it changed my mind. I now believe it is even more of a non-story than I thought it was to begin with. And, I am proud of our coach for standing up for his player. I don't fault the officer. He was doing his job and explained it to CJP very well. The fact that there are media in town who believe this is newsworthy should tell anyone everything that they need to know about how little they care about the program that is responsible for them having sustainable employment.

If you don’t think the head coach being on tape 1) insinuating a cop should ignore a warrant because cops at other schools have acted in a similar fashion and 2) being dismissive of the cop for doing his job once tactic #1 didn’t work is a problem then I don’t know what to say.

It’s not a fireable offense or anything like that. But it makes us look terrible and will only be added on to the list of misery as we continue to get our heads beat in on the field every Saturday.
It's a non-story. Do you really believe that coaches at other schools would not do the exact same thing? If you say yes, I believe that you will be lying.

Could also be nothing cause your source is "some guy from Knoxville"

I mean, do we have to point out the source credibility here?

Guys if I ever have a agenda and I am this obvious over it please call me out and let me know how dumb I look.

That in a nutshell is the "justice" system. I had a similar experience but I was held longer due to holiday😐
