Question: Another thing I've always wondered and never had anyone to ask. What about hiring (a) goody two-shoes, who happens to be (b) Vince Dooley's son. Was that part of a deal our AD cut to call the dogs off per the Kiffter's "alleged" rule violations?
I think he hired him because he wasn’t going to make major changes to the staff and don’t forget Nick Saban endorsed him. Lol.

Kid just doesn’t have it. Whatever “it” is. He doesn’t have it. Best explanation I have.

I think he got hit so much that he mentally locks up in games. He apparently doesn't do that in practice, presumably because he knows he isn't getting hit. I would argue that is PTSD, although 'it' may simply be the ability to perform as well or better under stress...which he clearly lacks, regardless the cause.

The Caleb Calhoun article regarding California passing a law regarding endorsements is absolutely idiotic. His writing credentials should be taken away.

Not when the California schools get ruled ineligible.

I think more than that is going to happen. I would expect this to be challenged in a court system. There has to be a line between Professional Athletes and Amateur Athletes.

I say the way the NCAA gets around it is they state that any athlete who accepts endorsement money is considered a “professional athlete” and thereby ineligible to play college sports in the NCAA.

Edit: Any school who leaves the NCAA loses all funding etc from the NCAA.

QB coaching doesn't begin to explain the disconnect from practice to game, and certainly not in a 4th year JR.
I remember when one of the Braves closers (Mark Wohlers) forgot how to pitch. It was some weird thing in his head. JG was never a very good quarterback, IMO, although he didn't throw interceptions, which he now does.

Poor oline play was a cover last season. He has always been off in games.

I’m hopeful we’ll see the young TEs this weekend since they’ve had an additional week to prepare.

I’m hoping we are more prepared period. I expect the CBs to be Thompson and George.

I would expect the safeties to be Jackson and McCullough.

It’ll be interesting to see which QB gets the start. My money is on JG (but I would rather see Shrout)

We could take a page from how the Steelers are using their #2... Easy reads, not using the whole field, get it out quick... They've gotten somewhat creative in manufacturing a run game... And their simply not requiring Rudolf to have to everything in the passing game...

It's not overly exciting... But so far it's effective

Yeah, I really want to see Shrout with the 1’s. That’s the guy, in my opinion.

Right now, I’d take effective over exciting.
