Look I may be wrong and obviously from the inaccurate title just posted it’s easy to see why someone might think it was reported he was offered the job.

I’d like to know what the truth is. It doesn’t really matter but my thinking was miss state choose their guy over Pruitt. We likely will never know the truth with that bs journalism title we have posted here.
You really believe State chose a Northern guy with B1G10 roots over the hottest coordinator in the SEC? My God you're consistent if nothing else.

Bama really has benefited from us being down. Its a given game from the east for them every year. Then they rotate between the other bottom dwellars and play FLA and GA once a decade in the regular season.
i mean, i guess so, but it hasn't mattered who they've playd, they've pretty much beaten everyone that's been put in front of them, no matter how good or bad they've been at the time.

Well that article specifically says he hasn’t been offered the job

My memory says he was the second choice there but maybe there is a link that proves otherwise but this isn’t it

My next door neighbor is a diehard maroon fan. He told me at the time that he had thought that MSU was close to offering Pruitt, but ultimately decided to go with Moorehead because the AD decided he wanted an offensive-minded guy. I have no idea if that is true, but I do distinctly remember a couple of articles at the time stating that MSU was 'close' to hiring Pruitt, which is why I remember being somewhat surprised when Moorehead was announced.

this could definitely be a pick your score contest. But i just don’t see them making it a point to.

I am absolutely ready, however, for Eli Wolfe to have 7 catches for 120 and a TD.
i think Kirby will take any opportunity he can to show how much better he is than pruitt.....i think he resents some of the players from his first year having a high opinion of pruitt, and that pruitt still gets credit for some of the facility upgrades that UGA got after he left.....
word is also that some of the OV's for this weekend are going at the instruciton of Kirby....kinda like he did wiht some of the prospects that went down to UF, and then committed to UGA immediately after. i think there might be some of that going on this weekend.

total rub your nose in it opportunity, and kirby has already shown he's got no problem doing it...worse than that, he currently has the ability to do it........

I saw a man eat a whole box of Swiss Rolls and wash it down with a half a gallon of Mayfield chocolate milk. It took him about 15 minutes. It still makes me sick just to think about someone doing that
Have beaten that...without milk. Nowadays I’d need half a day to indulge a coma.

I believe that’s true and the timeline would support that.

The Morehead hire was reported on Tuesday after Mullen left. If you believe Pruitt turned it down you would have to believe that he did so with zero knowledge of the tenn job being realistic. That was just 48hrs after Schiano happened and Fulmer was days away from taking over. That’s why I think it’s easy to see Pruitt wasn’t offered the job

Going to be a rough week. Hope we don’t start seeing the commitments flip.

Yes I believe they choose him very much so. And I believe they made the right choice
You give Pruitt that defense Moorehead inherited and he wins COY in the SEC. MS State just got boat raced and Moorehead won't last long. If anyone made the wrong choice it was probably Pruitt

I know, but at least the other SECW teams have at least the threat of losing to someone in the east every year. It isn't like Bama needs the road to be any easier. AU has GA, LSU has FLA. It's better for the conference if Tenn is good again to at least give Bama a game..

Pruitt being a defensive guy, would’ve been absolutely drooling over Mississippi states personnel on defense going into his first year. He didn’t turn that job down bc he was never offered that job to turn it down

Possible. I’d say Moreheads results so far have been a C and we know dang well Pruitts have been an F
Inheriting three 1st round picks on D, including a 6'6 edge rusher with verified 4.4 speed. And a senior battle tested QB. How many games did he win again? Sounds like Butch Jones lite

Think we will at least break out the orange pants for the Georgia game? Ive been rewatching the 2016 Florida game and idc what yall think those smokey grays & the checkerboard stadium gave this team juice now we just have garbage black cleats & a trash QB

well, if there's any good news, it's that no one really expects us to win or be all that competitive. it's not exactly an unknown as to where GA is compared to us.

so from an expectation level for commits, i don' think this game necessarily matters...would be nice not to get embarassed, but overall, i don't think there's any unrealistic expectations regarding this particular game.

our season regarding recruiting is really going to boil down to how we do against MSU, USCE, Vandy, UK, UAB and MO.

we're just gonna have bite down hard, and grin and bear it this weekend......and see what we can do with the lesser bulldogs the following week........

obviously i agree, i just don't think the TN game has been a game of consequence for most anyone we've played for the last 10 or 12 years.....we've made all of our opponents' paths easier...not just Bama's.

I think this is how it's going down, too.

It's one thing to be able to humiliate your opponent on the field. But it's ruthless to actively encourage things that demoralize the fanbase (i.e. orchestrating the recruits OVs, "red-out" the stadium, etc.)

Which prospects are you talking about this weekend?
