Recruiting Forum Football Talk II

Geez, the most "backward section" of this site? I've been around UT discussion boards a long time. I was on the old Gridscape that Chuck ran and was active on there and probably know some of the folks on VN because it seems like we had a couple of get-togethers before and after games or some of us met up. That seems like a lifetime ago. I don't do any social media at all except for a couple of fishing boards and this one (which I've been a member off and on since Freak started it). I don't have time to live on the Internet, and I rarely post much. However, I appreciate the regulars on the recruiting forum keeping up with and posting up about the recruiting in the player threads. I mean, Hell, any board is going to have its moments, but I look at all of the player threads and get a kick out of some of the banter and conflict on these general RF threads (not sure what that says about me). I thought a lot of the Gruden stuff was a joke. Surely you didn't take all that seriously. ???
Soon.

Ok you sons of biscuits eaters that told me to start MV-S!

Did you tell me that cause you don’t like me and Wanted me to lose or you were just as dumb as I was ???

Smdh
Lol RIP...

The only reason to start MVS there is if Godwin was still questionable. As soon as they he announced he was playing it’s an easy call. Godwin is a must-start when he’s on the field.

Does anyone ever wonder where we would be at right now if Schiano was our coach? And If we made a mistake by rejecting him? Maybe the football gods were trying to give us the coach that would lead us back to the promise land.
The guy that led OSU to 26 ppg defense in the b1g slow or the guy that led his D to a championship. Hmm

I had to make the call Thursday and a poster said Godwin didn’t practice that day so I made the call

Cost me winning this week

I without a doubt understand the circumstances and the situation that Fulmer was in, but irrespective of that would any of our rivals hired him?
I believe this to be a false narrative. I don’t think Fulmer “settled” with Pruitt. Of course some coaches declined to interview, but he selected him over plenty of other options.

This was his pick. No reservations.

I don't understand why he seems worse this year.

I'm starting to think JG just isn't instinctive at all. He plays so tight he could probably poop diamonds every half. Remember how Dobbs often needed some contact/to a run a little before he'd get into it? I think JG's problem is somewhat similar except I don't know how the hell to loosen him up. Dobbs just needed a run or a scramble and he'd shake off a bad start. Nothing like that seems to work with JG. At this point, I'm willing to load his gatorade with Valium and see if that helps. I think all of his issues are ultimately psychological but I have no clue how on Earth to get him to relax.

I know football has changed and will continue to be more finesse, but there are some ridiculous penalties in this game.

Who were all these other great options at that point?

It's almost criminal how many times Kamara is open and wasted in this offense... almost as bad as his time at UT.... Brees at least looks for Kamara but Bridgewater is clueless... they would have two TD's by now if he was being used properly...

Also I bet a million dollars no one said a WORD to Witten on the sidelines when he fumbled... not even the HC...

Urban did have an undefeated season at Utah, but he had been at a MAC school and a G5 school, just like Butch. We are t hiring high level coaches for $6 million+ per year. Florida hasn’t either until they hired Mullen.
Still didn't answer my question.
