It's a bunch of salt bruh lol. Most people dont "care" about it the second that their team isn't in it. People are tired of it not being their team. Just dont get trying to take something away from impressive dynasties we have witnessed the last 10 years or so.I mean how many actually "watch" it, or care at all about the outcome?
Get real. We were competitive against BYU and we beat UTC. Ga St. dominated the line of scrimmage and had their way with us. We had a few splash plays and that's it. Florida soundly beat us. We were never in that game, they dominated the line of scrimmage and the backup QB picked the secondary apart.
Hank was right.. We're getting coverage looks that say we should run it more. We did against BYU... Didn't enough against Florida or GSU.
Defenses are aware of our QB Ave his issues seeing the field so they're game planning for it.
Gotta do more underneath... Be it running it or screens.... And we've tried the screen game... Just haven't executed it very well.
True. It's not like teams are bringing 5+... So yeah screens probably not what the doctor ordered...It’s really hard to run screens vs cover 2/3 like we’ve been seeing bc all the dropped defenders have their eyes on the QB.
Like i said before i think we have to force the running game and be patient. Take those 2-4 yard runs and stay ahead of the chains.
When you’re going against those coverages you either have to ask your QB to hit deep comebacks and seams (which he cannot do consistently) or you have to use your WRs to run decoy verticals to push the coverage back so TE/HB/Slot can work underneath. Helton did a fantastic job with Jennings doing this last year and i wish we did more this year. Chaney did a lot of that with Mychael Rivera His first stint here, but DWA hasn’t shown he’s a good enough route runner to do it i guess.
