The fact remains, which is something a lot of posters on here won’t admit, is that Pruitt so far has been a trash head coach.

He took over a talented team when all metrics are put out there. Yet he’s unable to get any kind progress with that talent because they’re not “his guys”

Everyone media, national and local, fans, and talent evaluators expected this team to be 3-1 right now at worst 2-2, and to make a bowl. Didn’t even have to be a New Years Day bowl, but a bowl none the less.

As it stands this team is regressing at an alarming rate and that doesn’t seem to concern you? Nevermind the fact that they didn’t settle on a starting five on the OLine and apparently didn’t work with his other QBs to have one ready incase his starter either played bad or got hurt.

This has been coaching malpractice of the highest order and the fact it doesn’t seem to bother you is concerning.

A man points out facts and you call him a troll. So keep your head in the sand all you want but at some point you’ll have to come up to breathe.

You’re assuming a lot. Of course losing bothers me but I’m not going to sit here and quit on a team for being 1-3. There is a long season and frankly if you think a team that has gone 4-8 and 5-7 back to back years is talented then we need to take a look at talent. We have paper tigers dude, it’s going to take time.

QB is bottom tier and terrible, WR is probably our most experienced and best group but we don’t have anyone to get them the ball, RBs are better than average imo but our run blocking is towards bottom of the SEC imo, Oline is infinitely better than previous years but are one of the worst lines in the conference. Dline is bottom tier, LBers maybe average if Bituli is healthy, safeties bottom tier.

I know part of that is on Pruitt but his players look to be the bright spots outside of Jennings and a very few upperclassmen. Everyone points out better talent but I just don’t see it especially compared to the SEC.

Well no one is saying we have elite talent. What people are saying is that we have enough talent to beat Georgia State and BYU, this team per most talent evaluators have the second most talent in the SEC East.

The gap in the East between 2-7 isn’t huge, but yet we’re struggling against teams that per evaluators we should be better than.

The whole no talent excuse is just that, an excuse, when other teams are going out and winning with a new head coach with lesser talent and another coach’s players then you have to start questioning the coaching here.

So all the talent evaluators across the country totally mis-judged just our talent and no one else’s?

Get out of here with that nonsense. You do realize that we out recruited every team in the east for the past few years except Georgia, right?

I’d understand maybe one class getting mis-judged, maybe even two but not five, that goes against every statistical value you can look at.

Lol most 2nd most talent in the East. Please tell me you don’t buy that. This team recruited well under its previous coach until his last year then he threw in the towel on recruiting. Strength and conditioning didn’t even have a dedicated coach hired for over a year while butch was here.

They lost to San Jose State (who hasn’t beat a power 5 conference team in 13 years) last week. Hardly would say they are far from a dumpster fire.

Lol! What evaluators ? The bloggers for paid sites ? The only evaluation that matters is on field results. We have a bunch of slow, soft, small players who routinely miss tackles, throws, blocks, assignments, you name it. The freshman are the only players with a pulse on this team outside of Trey, Jennings, Calloway and the kicker.

CJP is not looking like a good coach right now!!

When I am watching NC ties the #1 team in the country with a coach that in his his first year with program and doing it with 2 and 3 stars.

And we get beat by GA State.

It is unacceptable by any standard!!!

This kid doesn’t know. He needs to take a long look at our roster and understand we Barely have a 2 deep that can play.

We understand that just like the NC game being at halftime there is a long season left. Let’s just fire the guy when we have a recruiting class to keep intact and in case you haven’t noticed we can still make a bowl.

What more do you need to see from the quitters butch recruited? Half of them are gone, the rest got passed by true freshmen. They are bad.

There is no excuse for Tennessee to ever lose to the likes of Georgia State. That was on the coaching staff.

No no no those aren't Mack Brown's players! I've heard that it would be impossible for him to be able to coach them properly because he did not recruit them.

All of this is true... but North Carolina did lose to Appalachian State. Every bit of criticism toward Jeremy Pruitt and the Tennessee coaching staff is justified. Tennessee is atrocious. There is no excuse for how bad Tennessee has played these first four games. Just don't try to tell us that Arkansas and North Carolina are examples of an instant turnaround... or even try to tell us that they are successful right now. They suck too.
