i don't either, i just find it odd that we have a faction that is dead set on firing Pruitt, like right now...(and I, well, given how this season started, cant say i didn't expect that to happen...)...but are going to use a guy that won 8 games in his first two years at a lesser program, after being pretty successful as a HC at a previous stop, as example #1 as to why we need to fire the guy we got now?

huh? if our guy wins 8 games in two years, the calls for Pruitt's head aren't going to go away, and there sure won't be too many people saying "but look at What bronco mendenhall is doing UVA, pruitt sucks, even that guy is better" lol......

bottom line, i don't see anyone that would trade Bronco's first 2 years for Jeremy's at this point.

the only difference is Bronco got the opportunity to get to a 4-0 start in year 4. i think that's most certainly TBD in the case of Pruitt.

lol.

Yea i mean bottom line Pruitt has to earn that opportunity tho. You can’t win 1 or 2 games in a season at Tennessee. I really don’t care the circumstances. If you can’t win 1 game against a P5 opponent, you have no business being out head coach.

It’s the same argument i had against hue jackson for the browns. After he went 0-16 you should be fired immediately no questions asked.

Yea it butch didn’t win 10 with his 15 or 16 squad. He sure as hell isnt doing it with Martinez.
He would’ve kept his job though. All butch had to do was survive the 17 season because that 2018 class he had committed was pretty damn good. Martinez could’ve carried the team similar (not as well) to how Dobbs did

then don't give me Bronco Mendenhall as an example of someone that we should want in lieu of the guy we got.

it's a double standaard to say 'we'd be better off with this guy' when that guy sucked out loud......and that's knowing that he was an experienced head coach, a successful head coach, that fell flat on his face his first two years....we're not talkinig about a guy that's doing this for the first time, nor are we talking about a coach that is trying to do it at a school or in a conference that's loaded with land mines.......

so far, the only reason i've been presented with that says bronco is better than pruitt is that he's not at Tennessee....that's it.

Maybe Pruitt will end up an elite head coach here.......I don't know but right now Bronco is the better head football coach. He has an established record of success and right now Pruitt is still learning how to be a head coach.

The double standard is blasting a dude who took over a Virginia team that had Mike London go 15-33 in his last 4 seasons there and legit nose dive the program. Bronco here may not have been in a better spot than CJP is, we obviously will never know. But he's proven to be a program rebuilding HC at two different spots now.

And 2-10 to 6-7 is pretty damn impressive considering how limited his roster ACTUALLY was, while we're all arguing to convince ourselves that Butch's top 20 average recruits are actually TERRIBLE. Bronco inherited back to back 50th or worse ranked classes, but 'couldn't handle' the UT rebuild with Butch's TERRIBLE roster with 17th, 14th, & 4th ranked classes.

Eh...if we fire Pruitt then I've no issue with pursuing Bronco as a top candidate. At least he's got a proven track record of rebuilding programs.
