TKjr wouldn't have helped much. he's just a shell of his former self. not bagging on him, he was pretty good at one point, but that injury, he just wasn't the same after it.Not having Bryce, TKJr, or Baylen in that secondary was part of them stepping back. Don't care how much talent you got inexperience in 2 of the 4 starters will have a negative impact.
agree. would disagree on LB, but not to the point it's worth discussing. they're young and we're thin, and didn't have bituli....so i can see it.Yeah I think DL, LB, S, CB, QB regressed and WR RB, OL, TE got better.
JG is the biggest problem on the team followed by the DBs and pass rushers.
Not sure how we can say WRs and TEs have gotten better. Don’t think they’ve gotten worse either though. I’d say it’s a wash.Yeah I think DL, LB, S, CB, QB regressed and WR RB, OL, TE got better.

Calling it a wash with pass catchers is about all you can do given the QB play. Not sure how we can say WRs and TEs have gotten better. Don’t think they’ve gotten worse either though. I’d say it’s a wash.
I forgot about RBs. That’s much better just due to having Gray over Jordan.
i'd say this on the WR's and TE's...they've been in the spots they're supposed to be in, and you can clearly go back on some of the plays we've seen this year and see guys open....and i think the blocking by those guys has been pretty good. Not sure how we can say WRs and TEs have gotten better. I agree. But everyone wants this staff to work out and for this thing to keep rolling, so let’s set some benchmarks.
I think we’re being EXTREMELY charitable by setting aside the finish to last year and Georgia State and BYU this year. But that’s what everyone wants to do so let’s do it.
Let’s set our benchmark for the rest of the season - like the first 4 games didn’t even happen.
We are, on paper, far less talented than Alabama and Georgia. Great coaches can’t bridge that gap. Let’s discard them.
We are more talented than Vanderbilt and UAB. If you lose those games you were out coached.
There are four games in which you could argue we have comparable talent to the opponent. (By recruiting measure we are MORE talented but I digress.) Mississippi State, South Carolina, Kentucky and Missouri. I’m asking them to get ONE of these games. Just one. A good coaching staff splits 50/50 games at the very least. I’m not even asking them to be good! Steal one out of four.
Can we all agree to the above and to these minimum benchmarks going forward? There should be three wins remaining on the schedule at minimum. Is that fair? Can we all agree anything less would be a failure (on top of other failure we’ve decided to ignore for now)?
Well I'm with you on hoping it comes together at QB.
But I don't need the "positives to outweigh the negatives" to see what I'm talking about.
It's sad, I truly and honestly don't know if we're discussing 2 different things or if you just steered the direction back to where you want it to stay.
And I hate feeling that way.
well, 1-3 doesn't lend itself to saying otherwise....that's for sure. but there is a reality that says if you get adequate QB play and don't do some of the dumb things we've done with some penalties and turnovers.....you're 3-1.Only thing that matters is the Team is worse. Unfortunately.

Picked up Josh Gordon last week. These folks are dumb.

If Pruitt can’t win 3 more then he’s not the guy. I’m starting to think the narrative about him is true. He’s a tremendous defensive mind and recruiter, but he cannot communicate his system effectively which is why we’re still having alignment issues. Either you need a lot of time in his system before it clicks, or you need a high football IQ like Henry T.
